Sant Joan d'Alacant (Valencian pronunciation: [saɲ dʒuˈan dalaˈkant]) is a municipality belonging to Alicante metropolitan area, in the southeast of Valencian Community, Spain. It is the geographic center of the Old Garden of Alicante. Its limits are with the settled areas of Alicante (7 km), Mutxamel (1 km) and El Campello (3 km). It is within the Alicante metropolitan area and shares the same fire department and metro services. Its population growth is due to its function as a bedroom community, as well as in recent years, its isolation from tourist areas, its cultural and academic activities, and because has part of the campus of the University Miguel Hernández of Elx/Elche. It comprises two zones: the town of Sant Joan and Benimagrell, which is now joined through its urban expansion.

My partner and I had dinner here tonight and everything was wonderful. The food was great - we had tapas including salad, mussels, calamari, patatas bravas and croquettes. Everything was delicious. The best part was the service - the two waiters that served us were absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend. Thank you, and thank you for helping us with our terrible Spanish!

I visited this new place whilst on vacation in Spain. Had a wonderful experience. Menu features international cuisine from all over the world. Everything fresh and of a high standard. Perfect service as well.

Stopped here for a relaxed lunch and a couple of beers. We ordered three tapas/raciones: prices suggested these would be of the smaller variety, but they were plentiful, of good quality, and the two fried items were light and not oily. Service good, prices very reasonable. It's an informal place, so not sure if as suitable for dinner.

The Burgers here are 100% Prime Beef! Whether you go mad for The Hanibal Lecter or just fancy a mexican take on a burger with guacamole or a melted brie burger they are all delicious and come with paprika dusted potato wedges! the waiter here is probabaly the best waiter in the world1 He served the whole 'packed to the rafters' restaurant on a Monday in early July seamlessly with a friendly professional manner I was genuinely amazed at his skill! the chefs here are banging. Great place and good price!

This restaurant is near to my house, so always got passed over on my way to Alicante. But I have heard consistent good word of mouth about it, so thought I would give it a spin for lunch.What a gem. Fabulous selections of wine, a menu degustation for â¬40 which consisted of 2 Tapas, Entrada, fish course, meat course and desert. Everything was of exceptional quality, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. Add an amazing Ribera del Duero Reserva for less than â¬20 and you have me smiling like a kid.Frustrated, as I have to wait to take friends and family there next time, but want to go back tonight.
