Nestled in the heart of Queenstown's township of the Crowne Plaza Queenstown hotel lobby, there's no better setting to enjoy delicious cuisine with good company.
I dined here several times during my stay over a few days. Tonightâs dinner was the standout - beautifully grilled Salmon with sides of Roasted Cauliflower and Springtime Salad. The salad already accompanied the salmon and I ordered the cauliflower as an extra. The entire dish was fabulous - I enjoyed melt-in-the-mouth Salmon, tender cauliflower with spicy sauce on the side and delicious fresh and colourful salad. I didnât want it to end. Thank you Chef, well done.

Welcome aboard one of Queenstownâs longest operating restaurants. Our history is rich as we have been locally owned and operated for over 30 years. During this time, we have become popular with locals and travellers alike. Britannia was established on con
When you have so many dining options available in this town, and only 8 nights to experiment, and experience, having 2 meals in the same place requires a write up.With 38 years of being in the Customer Service/Food service industry, 20 as a Manager overseeing staff and food presentation and delivery in one of the largest organisations, my observations and experiences are of some value. We had dinner on the fifth evening and were impressed with the theme, inside a ship, candles in bottles, and the dark wood panels. When there is little of any kind of warm dining ambience in this town, Britannia sails past the buoy first. The food we partook in of Rack of Lamb, Drakes Steak and Salmon, as mains, Soup, as an entree, were both exceptional. The Potatoes were huge, and the dessert was impressive and tasty. I love a big warm winter soup, but the bowl was a little small for my desire, nonetheless enjoyable. Brad agreed with my choice of White wine for my wife, and she loved the Sauvignon Blanc so much we bought some bottles in the Liquor store next day. The service was exceptional by Brad, who was, chatty, hospitable and knowledgeable. He explained all the cuts of meat to a 13 year old girl, who rarely eats Steak, other than the regular Spaghetti Bolognese, and afterwards was very satisfied with the choice and his explanation. We decided 2 days later to go again, and even though we did not get hosted by Brad, 2 young ladies looked after us impeccably. The Steak i had this time was mouth watering, and the local Otago Red, from a large list of offerings, complimented the meal.As per another review, my 13 year old daughter had Drakes Steak a second time but asked for chips in lieu of Potato-no sweat, Holly changed that. We left satisfied again, and impressed with the dining experience. Next morning up at Coronet peak, Holly, also an instructress remembered my daughter by name and said good day to us-that personal touch, extended past the restaurant environment suggests Brad and his team, have got the right employees working in a cut throat industry that requires quality staff, as well as a good product. A Quality Restaurant to enjoy the Meats, as well as the Seafood, and be spoiled by attentive workers, with a quirky but impressive theme. Price is comparable to most restaurants we dined in of this quality.

Now under new ownership! Established in 1981, Megs has continued to lead the field by being the only restaurant in the area to receive 21 consecutive NZ Beef & Lamb Gold plates(incl. 2019) and win both the recent Central Otago Lamb Dish of the Year and NZ
Roaring Megs is an elegant restaurant in Queenstown, with white tablecloths, attentive service and an excellent wine list. It is a small, family owned/run place and reflects the care and dedication of chef Jeanneret. The menu is not extensive, but every item is carefully prepared and presented. Try the Pork Belly appetizer or the three cheese ravioli. For a larger group, start with the Tasting Platter. The highlight is the rack of lamb, or, if you prefer, the confit of lamb shoulder. They are superb! If you are looking for something different, the Marlborough Hare or the Fiordland Venison might be your best choices. The extensive list of desserts deserves your attention too, so be sparing with bread and butter. The wine list focuses on local wines and the wines are well selected and priced.

Queenstown's newest eatery, Yonder, with their experimental kitchen also boast the primary go to for speciality coffee. With its main focus on dietary needs (vegan, GF) and a large array of healthy and indulgent delights, Yonder is ever evolving. A sunny
We ate brunch at Yonder on our last day in Queenstown. We initially sat outside as it had a gorgeous atmosphere, however, with impending rain/snow we headed inside to a booth. The inside atmosphere is cosy yet spacious, never feeling like we were on top of each other. I ordered the pork benedict choosing to swap out the pork for 'streaky bacon' for an added $2, which I felt was a bit of a rip off considering streaky bacon would cost considerably less than shredded pork and the amount of bacon that was substituted in was pretty poor. The overall flavour was good. My friend ordered eggs on toast which came exactly as stated, don't expect anything extra like butter on your toast. Seemed to be a great catch up place for the locals. Free wifi was also a plus as we waited to hear whether our flight home was cancelled or not.Hey Ashleigh, Thanks for the review! We're always happy to supply butter, in fact we've actually started providing butter upon request as a sustainability measure because so many people were throwing it out. We use premium bacon, so its actually more expensive than expected. Glad you loved the flavour, hopefully,â we can grab those two missing stars from you next time!

Hidden away down a back alley in the center of Queenstown behind a rustic old wooden door, The Bunker offers discreet and intimate 'rustic' fine dining â specializing in red meats, game and local produce with a distinctly New Zealand flavour complimented
This is a small restaurant that requires booking. The service was impeccable, well informed and able to advise on any detail. Their wine list is extensive and their recommended wine match was very appropriate. The pricing was high, but for the quality and experience it was reasonable, I have it on my contact list so we can dine there whenever we are in Queenstown.

Big Fig Queenstown is all about slow food, served fast. We hit the sweet spot between food that's really good and ready to go. Our dishes are fresh, made by chefs and packed with flavour. You choose a plate size and we fill it the way you want. Come fill
This place has a great homey feel to it. The food is just good hands down and there are plenty of healthy choices. Everything is fresh and the atmosphere is great. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of their food. This is a must try!
