Stopped here for lunch one afternoon when we were in Salta. Really liked the ambience and they play great music. We ordered pizza with jamon crudo (like prosciutto), sun dried tomatoes and rucula (arugula). Our server was Melisa and she was excellent. We highly recommend this place!

Looking for a nice restaurant close to our hotel, and I stumbled across Bartz. What a find! Do drop in whenever you get a chance. We shared the 9 course menu, and a Salta Malbec, recommended by our really attentive waiter.

An hotel restaurant that was quite empty when we visited. Service was efficient but rather impersonal however food was very good and largely above average. A few relatively original dishes (excellent shrimp skewer with a fruit salad as as starter and centolla raviolis), tasty and nicely presented although the dessert was less convincing (too sweet, as often). Overall very good, reasonably priced but not very atmospheric.

Meson the la PLaza Restaurant, located at Alejandro I- a five star hotel in Salta City- is a unique place with local flavors carefully adapted to international gastronomy. It is an elegant space with regional touchs, ideal for comfort lovers. The sweet so
We were staying in the Elajandro I hotel and were given two free glasses of wine so we wandered down to the Wine Bar. We noticed that the El Meson restaurant shared the same space as the wine bar, so we asked for the menu. They were happy to serve us restaurant food in the wine bar. I ordered Paco, which is a Piraña like fish. It was covered with a fennel sauce, which was delicious. First time I had Paco and it has become one of my favorite fish meals. My partner had the trout which was well cooked, but had some parts which were a little salty. As if the chef had sprinkled some salt before serving. Some may like it that way though. Overall, highly recommended and we plan on coming back.

We had dinner and were expecting a tender meat, as we always had it in Argentina. Unfortunately it was not cooked to that point, but the taste was still good. The service was average and the atmosphere could have been more cozy (it was very bright). I wouldnât go again.

We visited the place twice, because we really liked it. Itâs kind of a tapas concept where you can share different plates if you want. The menu offers different food options than in other places, but still traditional, which is a good change. Service is very friendly. If you have the chance to visit in summer, you will enjoy a beautiful backyard area. We would definitely come back!

Tomásâ creativity adds up innovative techniques, such as the sous vide cooking, to the basics of the traditional gastronomy. Regional products are the protagonists of the menu, which changes with the seasons, and their peculiarities stand out in each reci
The lighting and sound was attractive. The waitress greeted us immediately, she spoke perfect English - from Italy, she said. Red wine and glasses of water were brought to the table immediately. The bread and accompanying dip (made from lentils, olive oil, parsley and garlic) was really well made. For entree we shared grilled goat cheese with spinach and a sort of marmalade and walnuts, then shared "false" risotto with rare strips of beef as a main course. Both were excellent! The owner / chef brought the main course himself. Not only is the food really well made, but the staff and atmosphere are impeccable. We walked out with a big smile. I do like it when all my needs are met! :)

We went there just for a change from the steaks and a bit of fine dining...We had two guys looking after us, one was tall and lovely and making a bit of an effort with us; the other guy who was looking after the drinks was just rude and had no interest to be there. The food was just ok! I suppose we got really excited about having a few vegetables after a while eating potatoes. Our starter was nice (the prawns) and colourful. The main course were so so average....The selection on the menu was not great so my husband ended up having a steak with chips; that was just an expensive steak with chips or average quality...nothing fancy at all. I had the pork which was nice and that came with mashed sweet potatoes..I had to ask what the mash was as it looked and tasted awful, I just could not eat it.Dessert was the volcano de chocolate, and again very average,...Overall that was a big disappointment; the place was very quiet even though we came in late. There was nothing fancy about the decor nor the food. I would not recommend this place which is way too overrated!
