Things to do in Praslin Island
Today my family and I were looking for lunch and drove by the Palm Beach Hotel. I just read a few of the comments below and I am glad it is not such a bad place after all. When we arrived there was one of the service guys outside staring at us in an uncomfortable way, not saying hello or anything - just a long weird look. We ignored that and walked in anyhow. There was no one at the reception so we just continued walking into the restaurant which was completely empty - besides one taken table of a couple. It was an open restaurant with a look over beach and garden which was lovely, but as it was very windy we decided to take a table inside. The service person arrived with hardly looking at us and pointed to a table which we took. She arrived a few minutes later and only handed out one single menue to my husband and stood still in front of our table which was uncomfortable as the menue was not so short that you could decide in a split second. So to give us a little break I asked her if she had any other menues as we were three persons and she just pointed at the one we already had on our table and gave us the look: "SO?!!". I told her that we would need a few more minutes to decide so she backed off. When we opened the menu there was on the 2nd page a really nasty dirt spot on the table which looked like a scratched off insect which was nasty. All three of us didn´t feel good about the place and decided to stand up and leave and look out for something else. We didn´t feel welcome at all and the fact that the place was sooo empty at lunch time was weird also, as it seemed that there weren´t any hotel guests either - not talking about that service lady at all. She saw us leaving but didn´t even have the nerve to ask us why we are leaving. When we walked back to our car the service guy we saw earlier stared at us even more so we rushed off in a hurry and will not go back there for sure....felt a little bit like Psycho - but maybe they just had a bad day....

We ain't just take away..we add taste to your life We cook the best food on and off, open on Sunday's.. We serve the cheapest english breakfast on the island..
If you are sugar addict and you like sweets, this is the place to be. Jenny' bakery offers sandwiches, salads, cookies, bread and sweets. Do try the Carrot cake!!!! It is homemade (like most of the products) and tasteful, just make sure you go before midday otherwise you won't find a piece of it.

We enjoyed dinner here. We had one of the outside tables and it is a really nice setting. The service was friendly and reasonably efficientFood is good without being gourmet. But they are not setting out to deliver gourmet foodOverall a very pleasant meal at (for Prasin) a reasonable price. I would certainly eat here again if I was in the area

One of the best is the coconut cake which was unique and very creole in taste. Its a beautiful store with all the varieties of wines. Its a mini market where one can get all the basic needs. They have a cafe where they serve see good stuffs. Though a bit costly than other stores but its worth it. The cakes are yummy and the wide range of products are really worth seeing.

The spot on Praslin's Cote D'Or beach for casual, affordable dining, the Acajou Beach Resort's Starfish Bar & Restaurant is open daily for both in-house residents and outsiders alike. The menu combines a selection of international bistro classics, salads
We stayed at Acajou for a few days and we were not disappointed. And we definitely was not disappointed by the Starfish Bar and Restaurant. It's easily accessible from the beach also if your staying somewhere else. They are only open for lunch. We had lunch there one day and it was very good. It is a little pricey, but then again, It's Seychelles. Everything is expensive.Lol. A must go! And staff very pleasant.

Set in a large private estate overlooking the bay of Côte d'Or, La Gigolette is one of two restaurants at Hotel L'Archipel. Situated at beach level, the restaurant serves a variety of local and international dishes including French cuisine. The menu is Ã
After numerous buffets, my husband and I wanted our last dinner on Praslin to be a special occasion. Staying at La Reserve but having a car for the day we decided that the proximity of LâArchipel would be perfect. Checking out the restaurant during the day, we also found the setting to be beautiful and the a la carte menu mouth-watering (if pricy)â¦!I had emailed the FB manager, Pierre Lamy, and he could not have been more accommodating, even offering to set up a special table for us right on the beach. In the event, there were some heavy downpours in the afternoon and Pierre promptly emailed to inform us that the beach restaurant would be closed that night, but that he would be happy to arrange a lovely table for us by the pool or on the veranda of the upstairs restaurant. We opted for the upstairs restaurant where a beautifully decorated table awaited us on our arrival. Our meal was lovely â chicken parmesan as an amuse-bouche, filled breads, warm seafood cocktail for starters (absolutely delicious) followed by red snapper with a mustard crust and medium-rare beef fillet in a mustard gravy. For dessert, we shared a hot chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice-cream. All of the dishes came in big portions and were excellent. Staff were all absolutely lovely. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and they went out of their way to allow us to pay our bill in both Euro and rupees. Pierre himself came over at the end of the night to make sure we had enjoyed our evening and wish us good night. We were really impressed with the quality of the food and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and would gladly have a meal at la Gigolette again! On an aside, we really liked the look of LâArchipel. While we were very happy at La Reserve, the property looked lovely, peaceful and well-kept. All the chalets appeared to have lovely views and the hotelâs beach was beautiful. Definitely worth considering for a stay.
