Osoyoos (/ɒˈsuːjuːs/, historically /ˈsuːjuːs/) is the southern-most town in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia between Penticton and Omak. Near the border with Washington state, the town is also adjacent to the Indian Reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. The origin of the name Osoyoos was the word sẁiẁs (pronounced "soo-yoos") meaning "narrowing of the waters" in the local Okanagan language (Syilx'tsn). The "O-" prefix is not indigenous in origin and was attached by settler-promoters wanting to harmonize the name with other place names beginning with O in the Okanagan Country (Oliver, Omak, Oroville, Okanogan). There is one local newspaper, the Osoyoos Times.

Beautiful location with wonderful vegetarian choices! A large group can order family style and get a delicious selection! Lovely garden area with Bocce game to enjoy with children between courses! Wine suggestions paired beautifully with the meal. Closes at 8 each evening so dine early.

We ate her twice, purely for convenience. Dinner, 2 out of 4 meals sent back (kids chicken not cooked, and another meal almost stone cold). Wait staff were very good about returning meals but, second meal bought out for myself, meat was cooked well and tasty but vegetables still cold. My husband ordered steak and it was cooked well and sauce tasty. The restaurant environment itself is very plain, and didnât look very clean. Returned for breakfast (only because we had already paid). Kids breakfast was ok and good value, husband really enjoyed his egg skillet, but I was very disappointed with eggs Benedict. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
