Reviews on International food in Natal, State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Gateway to the stunning beaches of Rio Grande do Norte, the city of Natal is perched on Brazil's Atlantic coast, at the mouth of the Potengi River. Escape the bustle at secluded Pipa and Pirangi beaches or live it up at Genipabu and Tibau do Sul. The city is surrounded by Dune State Park. Go on a buggy ride over 30-foot sand dunes or tour the dunes on a dromedary tour. The city is home to the cleanest air on the continent, according to NASA, and also to the world's largest cashew tree.

Tradicional restaurant Pizza & Pasta, located at Ponta Negra district. Arounded The Best restaurants and hotels of Natal City.
Very well located in Ponta Negra, it makes a fantastic spot for a pizza and beers whilst watching the World cup games.Pizza selection is huge, the flavour is great, not too "tomatoish" (a pizza sin in my opinion) and great beers. The only downside is the service that was a tad slow, but I guess they shouldn't be used to having a full crowd asking for food at the same time.If you're in Natal during the WC think about this place, it's great food and footie atmosphere.

June 13, 2014It has been raining all day today here in Ponta Negra. Weâve run out of food stores so we finally had to give up and brave the rains. So we decided to dawn our rain ponchos and take the short walk of about a block down the street from our hotel Apart Hotel Serantes and give La Cachette a try for dinner.La Cachette has a varied menu but their specialty is Fondue. It seemed an appropriate choice to add a little variety to the endless parade of beef that is Brazil. The restaurant is above the sandwich shop on the street level which apparently has the same ownership. The restaurant facilities are fine, clean with a mix of indoor and alfresco dining. We started with the fried cheese appetizer. They use a local cheese and fry it in a little oil like you might see in a Greek restaurant. It tasted fine but was a hair on the cool side. I wouldnât recommend ordering again, especially if you plan on ordering a cheese fondue. The cheese fondue was solid. It was a good mix of classic fondue cheeses with a little kirsch or vermouth added. It isnât anything special but certainly a solid representation. Iâd order it again as part of a larger meal. The banana crepe with chocolate was average in my opinion. That is mostly due to the bananas which I felt were a bit too hard and almost green like in nature. I would pass the next time myself.Service was attentive throughout.Pricing is good. We had and appetizer, main (fondue), dessert, 3 drinks, 2 bottled waters and a digestif for roughly $58.00 USD ($130 REAL). So there is decent value here, obviously dependent on what you order.Credit cards are accepted. Conclusion: La Cachette is a nice restaurant in a nice environment with average food and a good price. If thatâs your goal, seek it out. Especially if youâre close by.

Lovely restaurant for families, windy deck, with lots of fresh air from oceanic breeze and an conditione internal area. Open every day of the year, including sundays and holydays, La Cachette is the sure choice every time!
A nice casual restaurant, were the speciallity is fondue. Then you have to blame yourself if you overcook your meat! They also have various meat and seafood plates. A nice and relaxed place.

Since 2003, we combine quality products and services with care to provide happy moments in a pleasant environment. Are welcome!
I popped by with two friends for lunch, and was happily surprised to see new additions to the menu. Bacalhao al forno was really good, cheese pastel fantastic, and shrimps my friends had were the best we tried in Natal. Staff is very friendly, service is fast. I really liked this place! Parents with kids might like to know Mazzano has a small playground!

We were a group for dinner and the menu offered had a choice between shrimps, steak and fish. All the dishes showed up with the same risotto loaded with cheese, so heavy that everyone complained. I had the fish with this heavy-handed risotto, and the combination was not at all successful. Having been coming back to Natal for 10 years I have the feeling that cooking here deteriorated in time, tending to become ever the top, not light, not fresh and not what you expect from a place with ready access to the ocean and its fresh sea food and fish. The service was also horrible slow, some visitors fell asleep while waiting. Not recommended.
