It soon became apparent why there're no reviews in English despite this hotel-restaurant being rated the no. 1 restaurant in Akyaka. The menu was in Turkish & no-one was available to translate any of it. I know you could argue that we should've at least made the effort to learn the Turkish for basic menu items but we hadn't. In a family beach-side cafe we'd had the same problem but the waitress used a Google translate-type App on her phone to communicate beautifully despite not speaking any English so we expected better from a 'posh hotel' restaurant. I pointed to a picture of a chicken quarter to order my meal. This arrived as fried slices of nicely seasoned chicken on a bed of rocket (which I hate) & some Parmesan flakes. No bread, potatoes or any other carb. I also tried to order a mixed salad but what arrived was a type of Caesar salad with the identical chicken to my main plus Parmesan flakes but happily no rocket. Husband managed to order a steak but it was too rare for him to eat & we were unable to convey this to any one so he went hungry. Again it came with no accompaniments such as potatoes. I'm sure if you're Turkish-speaking you'll have a lovely, good value & nicely-presented meal - the food being served to the other tables looked great & there was pleasant live music from a singer/guitarist. But we had a miserable time & felt very unwelcome which we've never done anywhere in Turkey before

I have tried this restaurant twice. For lunch and coffee / breakfast. But they are very amateur. They didn't have all I asked. Coffee? Machine is broken, Lemonade? finished, Tea? You have to wait 15 minutes etc. They have only one dessert. When you're listening jazz music they're changing the music abruptly to Turkish, opening the voice louder and you have to listen a same song like 20 times. Shortly; restaurant with a novice waiters, uninterested managers. I really surprise for the positive comments!!

TaiPan Chinese and Indian restaurant serves both a large choice menu or our very popular eat as much as you like Chinese and Indian open buffet plus free access to the largest childrens playground in Marmaris next to our restaurant
So 2 days before we were due to go home i had a craving for chinese. We saw this place nearby and decided to try it. Bloody awful, i started to wretch as we left.I got to the street round the corner and vomited.Korma is like custard, chinese chicken dry and not alot of choice.10 pans with the same chicken in a different sauce.I am a nurse and spent the night in my room with vomiting due to this place.I hadnt eaten that day so i would enjoy it.wasteDear guest,Thank you for visiting our restaurant.I was sorry to hear that our food was not to your liking. We do have a wide selection of dishes so there are normally more than enough choice to ensure our visitors eat dishes they like. We also have stringent health and safety procedures in place for our kitchen so I was extremely surprised that you felt you became unwell as a result of visiting our restaurant. As a nurse I am sure you will know that it is common for people to blame the last meal they ate for food poisoning, when in fact many food borne illnesses can take much longer to develop than this, sometimes 2 or more days.Thank you for your comments.Best wishesJayne Girginc

it has a huge canopy of trees over the seating area which provides great shade. Typical French type surroundings . We had onion soup chicken wraps Ayran in lovely mugs frothy with slices of cucumber and mint so refreshing lovely fresh baked bread salads and wine (good selection as well) and a homemade chocolate cake moist and really too rich but delicious. Needed a good walk after this but hey not a problem in Gocek lovely marina and very up market shopping street, visit the Gourmet Garage it is just great.
