Restaurant Mejeriet is a fine dining restaurant with focus on local produce. Highly regarded, rewarded and former michelin chef, Allan Poulsen is our headchef and presents a classic take on the new nordic dining style, with good taste in focus.
The restaurant is situated in the former dairy of the Castle Wilhelmsborg. The Castle is now a municipal office and the farming Buildings have been converted to a center for horse riding.Hotel facilities are not available nearby. We had a gourmet dinner with a wine menu. The food was excellent and the choice of wine was very good too. The surroundings are charming with the old, whitewashed walls visible. The service was fine too.We can highly recommend this place and will like to return some day.

Dejlige nyrenoverede værelser med god og enkel indretning, bad og toilet på gangen, men det gik fint. Rent. Skøn udsigt. Glimrende grillmad, gode vine. Mormormad fås også. Velassorteret bar. Venligt personale. Vi kommer igen. Tunø er skøn.

We were off to a good start. Wonderful evening, nice restaurant, great company. Since we were a large group of 12, most of us ordered the 3-course menu to simplify matters for the kitchen. The first course of summer asparagus with hollandaise and brioche was excellent. Then things went on a downward spiral. It took over an hour for the main course to come. The grilled beef with corn puree was good but people's moods all around the table were getting pretty dark. Once the table was cleared, we expected dessert to come quickly. But no. The waiter comes and asks if there is anything else he can get us so I say, "We're still waiting for our dessert, yes?" He forgot! Thankfully, the kitchen didn't so the strawberry mousse on hazelnut crust followed shortly. It was a lovely. They did try to make up by giving us a free pitcher of sangria, extra dessert and a discount. But...In conclusion, if the service matched the food, I would have given the restaurant top rating. Would I go back? Maybe I would give it another chance in the distant future. Would I recommend it? Well, only if you are willing to risk it. Who knows? Maybe your experience will be perfect.Hi, Thank you for taking your time to give us some constructive feedback. It means a lot to us, since it is the only way we can improve and get better.I was told about your experience from the restaurant manager and he also told me, that he tried to make up for the mistakes with the pitchers etc. I truly understand that the whole atmosphere and the mood at the table were getting spoiled from the long waiting time. I want to ensure you that we take this serious and we will dig into what went so wrong at your table and learn from this. If you have anything to add from your evening or a reply to this answer, please do not hesitate to write me at [email protected] again I want to thank you for taking your time to give us this feedback.I wish you a nice day.
