We came across Kawon by chance. It was a wonderful calm oasis. Choice of seating areas either at the front or down the steps to the rear garden. Our lunch was delicious. A beautiful salad full of delicious flavour. In fact it was so good that we returned again the next day. The owner Gaith who also runs the adjoining bookshop explained how to use the local ingredients and we intend to use some of these spices in our own cooking at home. We wish him every success in his venture. Make sure if you are ever in Madaba you take time out to visit Kawon.

Hawa Madapa is located across the street from St George Greek Orthodox Church. The Madaba Visitors Center is just 2 blocks away. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service staff is very welcoming. Itâs a great place to get a bite when planning your visit to the Church.

The restaurant is done like old style, located at touristic street 70 Ms from st. George church (the Mosaic map church). It serves delicious Arabic and Europe food; you may enjoy smoking the hubble-bubble and using the free internet wireless.
Traditional ambience and very spacious seating arrangement. Cuisine is primarily middle eastern with a few continental dishes too. Prices are pocket friendly, presentation and taste is really good! But again, we loved the ambience, decor, being an indoor place still feels like an open courtyard type dining!
