Find out what International restaurants to try in Lusaka. Lusaka, the capital and largest city in Zambia, can be a confusing and chaotic place for visitors not familiar with its unplanned neighborhoods and streets. Busy stores and shopping centers line Cairo Road and the surrounding area. Nearby covered markets sell anything from souvenir figurines to spare engine parts. Just south of Lusaka is the Munda Wanga Environmental Park, which features botanic gardens, a wildlife park and sanctuary, picnic areas, swimming pools, and a relaxing terrace bar.

LA BOTTEGA is an Italian cafeteria, pastry shop and restaurant created to sustain the In&out of the ghetto Ngo rooted in bauleni Compound, in the outskirt of Lusaka. You can taste Italian and zambian speciality. Come and support us, we are waiting for you
La Bottega has a lovely garden, perfect for a breakfast but also lunch or a snack. The personnel is friendly and the ambiance is cozy. The Italian pastries are simply delicious, try the Baci di dama or the Fiamma, they really taste like home! (I'm Italian, I can say it!). Moreover, the profits from the activity go funding a very active NGO in Lusaka's slums. I recommend it!!

We called in at the last minute as needed somewhere to stay, we were very apprehensive as the roofs were thatched and we don't like this because it attracts spiders, the lady that showed us round assured us that the wood was treated and the thatch cleaned every week, and we didn't see any horrid critters, the rooms were lovely, the restaurant had a good choice of food which was well cooked, the staff were offered a very good service.

If youâre sweating through hot season on the south side of Lusaka, sitting in the air conditioning at Makeni Mall and drinking perfect iced americanos is your best bet. Sure the mall has no ambiance but Iâve never had more consistently perfect coffee and service than at the The Cake Bar. Consistency is hard to find in Lusaka restaurants but they have great salads, terrific wraps (the chicken fajita wrap is like a super upgraded shawarma). And the service is fast and friendly. Thereâs only one better iced coffee in the city but itâs top secret so donât hesitate about checking out this location!Hello Kelly HThank you for valuable patronage and feedback. Happy to hear you love our consistency in service and coffee. Though we are slightly disappointed to hear that someone else does better iced coffee than us :( We would like to challenge that!So here's an offer. Bring us that coffee, and we'll ask our clients to be the judge as they compare ours with the other one. If indeed we come in second, your next 3 iced lattes are complimentary :)We look forward to having you again!

We were very tired having flown overnight from Heathrow to Johannesburg and the on to Lusaka but needed to eat before we crashed. Despite being on the early side, the staff greeted us warmly and gave us a table near to a great jazz trio they had playing. The setting was romantic with soft lighting and a view out onto the hotel garden area. The menu is broad, but they specialize in steaks and Indian cuisine. We both had chicken tandoori. Everything was delicious.
Our first visit to Lusaka and we stumbled on Afrigonia by lucky chance. I had the lamb chops with a mint reduction which was just wonderful and perfectly cooked. Next time Iâll have a steak; they give you the choice of T-bone, porterhouse or sirloin! Sides were good, too.Atmosphere was happy casual and on the young side. Service was gracious but slow as they were very busy. Not much for vegetarians but a carnivoreâs delight.

My first visit since they have shifted to Showground. The restaurant has been renovated and spacious. It has some playground for kids so would be good to go with kids for lunch. I had a beefburger and it was nicely done with bacon, mushroom, cheese etc so it looked and tasted good. I always like the bread they bake. As it was a bit windy, the smell from the polo ground slightly bothered my friend (I don't mind). Food is ok, but for the price not worth it! Very expensive for what you get. Not the best service and around the swimming pool area the people behave very inappropriate for a family restaurant. Been there before and it was the same (we went there as a family). They will definitely not see us again! I am more than a little disappointed to hear you describe inappropriate behaviour around the pool - as this is certainly something that we don't condone, and very rarely have cause for concern over. I would be very grateful if you would contact me directly (via the address on our TripAdvisor, or web page), so that I can gain a better understanding of what you experienced. Although I'm not always at the hotel personally, I am usually very in touch with things that concern our guests - and inappropriate behaviour I am very surprised wasn't reported to me!Grateful for your further feedback. Best wishes
