Our group of 19 visited Bistro el Delphin as part of a Rio Dulce tour. As the meal was included in the price, I can't speak of the costs. What I can say is that the Bistro is lovely. It sits on the second floor of the hotel Posada el Delphin and is a peninsula into the river. There are many, many large windows and the setting couldn't be better or more scenic. The Bistro itself is painted in cheery colors trimmed in white - very welcoming! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant was immaculately clean. Our meal (we had the choice of shrimp, fish, or chicken) was delivered promptly and both the chicken and shrimp were quite tasty. (I did not try the fish but it appeared that others enjoyed it!)

We stayed at the Banana Palms Ressort for few days and had dinner here the first night. The restaurant has a good rating, so maybe we just had bad luck. We ordered the baby pulpo (Octopus) and what we got looked nice, but was very chewy. At least there was a nice Chilean whine wine to wash it down. Next days however we preferred to eat out of the Ressort.
