Busy but not full restaurant in Les Arcs 1950. Complimentary amuse bouche rather large and filling (duck pancake rolls) but good anyway. Foie gras average, snails good and croquettes ok. Good fondu with mushrooms. Veal probably best dish on the night. There were two waiters for the whole restaurant and they were doing a fabulous job, albeit just a bit stretched. Unfortunately desserts took 50 minutes to arrive, by which time we were pretty much asleep. One of the desserts was incorrect but by this time we were too tired to complain. Three courses, four people, a bottle of wine and a couple of beers came to 260 Euro.

SAVEURS DES CIMES has the ideal lunch for skiers. Situated in the mains square, it is ski in and ski out. It has a magnificent display of meats and cheeses which can be lput into sandwiches in any combination you request. It also has soups, toasties, fondues and typical Savoyard plates. What more do you want for lunch?
