Reviews on International food in Lech, Austrian Alps, Austria. Glitzy Lech is one of Austria's most moneyed resort towns. Pricy, posh palaces abound, but this ostentatious, old-school winter wonderland has accommodations and a place on the pistes for all budgets. Popular since the 1920 and 1930s, this former farming town has managed to retain its original character and charm. Its somewhat isolated location forces an often tricky drive in inclement weather but also is part of what appeals to celebrity admirers. Nearest airports are Zurich and Innsbruck.

Was willst du mehr .
Round off your day in our à la carte restaurant Schüna and exchange each otherâs experiences of the day in an elegant, yet cozy atmosphere. The Schüna is an original wooden cabin, which translates to barn in English. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking vi
Absolute Empfehlung.
We discovered this restaurant while skiing the White Ring, a route that goes through Zurs, Zug, Oberlech and Lech. We have been to many mountain restaurants in our time, and usually you either get masses of average quality fuel, or very expensive fine dining aimed at well-heeled oligarchs. This place is a revelation. The menu has a wide international range, offering huge filling salads as well as lighter bites if you don't feel you can eat another massive meal. We went there three times from St Antion as we enjoyed it so much. We tried the gourmet and chef's salad, both of which were huge and satisfying, the pasta pesto, which was just the right amount, beautifully preparared, as well as the lighter steak and salmon plates, which were just right given we were getting substantial breakfast and evening meals at our chalet. They have a lovely terrace with heaters for when it's cold, and a massive awning if it's snowing. The service is exceptional, with engaged waiters who seemed to enjoy their clientele, which made a change from the many who thought their diners were an inconvenience. The restaurant is part of a hotel which must be partly owned by a former Olympic ski champ as his medal is proudly displayed in reception. The price was good too. Typically it was costing us £15-£20 a head including a beer or glass of wine and a tip. It's the sort of price you pay in most mountain restaurants where you sit and get served, but the quality of food was on a different level. My friends didn't want me to write this and make Montana too popular, but I think I owe it to my fellow travellers. Besides, the place was full every day so popularity is not an issue. You need to book to secure a table and it's situated on blue run 34 near the Peterboden lift station.
Where to eat German food in Lech: The Best Restaurants and Bars
My wife has stopped here for lunch several times in the past and I joined her this year. Prices are reasonable for Oberlech and the food is good. Service from our waiter was excellent.

We were in lech for four days. Itâs surprising that most of the recommended restaurants are booked well ahead. So frustrating for last minute visitors. We found Ambrosius and had two very nice meals. Staff friendly. Accommodating for those without bookings. Lovely atmosphere in traditional surroundings.
