French Ski villages are not renowned for serving quality food, so it was a real pleasure to come across The Soul Kitchen in Les Deux Alpes. This restaurant is a quantum leap away from the low grade, chips, burger or pizza type of restaurant which abound in the village.The menu here is 70% vegetarian, 30% meat/fish, making it an ideal restaurant for current times when many people are cutting down on meat, or like ourselves, may be dining as part of a mixed group of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Furthermore, this is proper, imaginitively created vegetarian food, rather than just pasta with grated cheese on topTypical dishes which our group ordered were starters of soup, and vegetable samosas and mains of vegetarian ravioli, beef cheek and mushroom and vegetable pie.Whatever your taste, you will find something here, despite the fact the menu is short (but changes daily). This is a small family run restaurant, with excellent service, and friendly proprietors. Without a doubt, the best restaurant we ate in in Les Deux Alpes, and highly recommended.

The restaurant is very nice: great food (most of the menu), nice and professional service, friendly atmosphere. They do it really well although some of the dishes are not the top ones (like steak).But in general it is highly recommended to visit them.

This isnât a âformalâ restaurant - itâs a bar with great food13 of us (3 families) ate here last nightGood food - the burgers and the Camembert pizza in particular were greatPool and fuzball table for the kids Great service (with a smile) from David and his team tooHighlight for me though was Niven and Jamieâs live set - they are awesome musicians we went nuts! Their highway to hell and wonderwall covers (of many great songs) were brilliant

I stayed at the hotel, and was pleasantly surprised to find out their chef is great! The breakfasts were simple fare, perfect for pre-departure day of cycling. The dinners were top notch though. I had a Chicken curry dish the first night and a pasta to load up for long cycling the second. Both were very tasty, the portion size generous, and the complete meal very satisfying. I highly recommend the restaurant if you stay here, or even if you don't. It was a 10 minute walk from town, and after sampling what was available in Bourg D'Oisans I wished the hotel served dinner on Mondays (the one night they don't). My next trip I'll stay here again, and definitely reserve for dinner each night.

We booked a table for dinner for 8 of us on our last night in town. Wish we had tried this place earlier in our week. Very friendly staff, accommodated four adults and four children. Bringing kids meals when adults had starters etc. Bringing kids desserts while adults had mains. Very helpful with menu recommendations. Great atmosphere and the place was packed being a busy Friday night but that didnt impact on service at all. The food was great too - clean plates all round. Will definitely return when we go back to Bourg.

I dined here during a cycling holiday in Bourg d'Oisans and found it to be excellent. Comfortable atmosphere, great steak, salad and chips, creative desserts and friendly service. It was so good, in fact, that I returned on two subsequent evenings. Recommended.
