Reviews on International food in Kumarakom, Kerala, India. The tourist village of Kumarakom is relaxed and refined, featuring lush flowery landscapes and a multicolored plethora of bird species, best enjoyed at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Glide along an intricate web of lagoons, lakes and rivers on a fully-staffed private houseboat, or settle in at a cozy B&B for some well-deserved R&R. Don’t miss the famous wood carvings at the peaceful Shiva Temple at Ettuman. Local cuisine will delight your taste buds with fresh, rich flavors and a variety of spices.

This place is as expensive as a fine dining restaurant in Delhi. A meal for two; which included just two dishes, two drinks and a desert cost us Rs.4000/-. Thankfully the food was excellent. The kerela style kingfish was brilliant and so was the Apple and berry crumble. The service was a touch slow, however the staff were friendly and warm.
