I stayed in Ometepe for 12 days in Santa Cruz at the Los Cocos Comedor which had great rooms but they burned my dinner twice so I began eating next door at Bahia Verde. They made a good chicken burrito that was moist and delicious. The staff were very friendly and the cook would make things that were not on the menu if asked.

We had lunch at this newly opened restaurant in Moyogalpa. The owner was very kind and helpful. We had panini's, which were very tasteful, and a cold Oreo-Mocha coffee, wow, so good!If you're in Ometepe definitely go here for a good lunch, it's not the cheapest option in town, but you will definitely enjoy!

Appealing restaurants looked in quite short supply down the main street in Moyogolpa. We chose Buon Appetito, it had nice music playing inside the restaurant, with an attractive interior which provided quite a nice ambiance. We chose two pasta dishes, cheese ravioli and pasta with mushrooms and tomato, both were very good, beer was cold and the service polite. There are a couple of tables outside by the road but we opted to eat inside. They also accept credit cards.

Caballitis Mar is located right on the lake nicaragua in the town of Merida which is slightly southwest on the island. It has the best views of sunset I have ever seen and I have been in safaris in Africa. The owner Fernando is truly relaxed and hospitable and all of the staff are simply amazing. After a day kayaking (this is the best place to go kayaking on the island) try having a sundowner at Caballitos Mar - brilliant!!!There are only about 5 rooms here and 2 private rooms with bathroom - so you must book well in advance. I went for 4 days and stayed 10. This is a really simple place for those looking to live close to nature - it is not luxury - there is the sound of the birds and lizards and other wild life. The best secret of all is the restaurant! Fresh fish caught daily is served here and the chef makes her own pasta!!!

One of the better places to eat on Ometepe island. The Argentinian steak was tasty but the meat was tough and the place was way overprised for the island. We were 4 pers and payed 80$ what is allmost a month salary for the locals. Would not eat there again.Tu opinion parece un poco extraña o contradictoria, primero dices que es uno de los mejores lugares para comer en ometepe, despues dices que la carne estaba dura, y que yo recuerde nadie a devuelto una carne diciendo que estaba dura, en tercer lugar no tienes ni idea de lo que es un salario en nicaragua, asi es que deberias hacer una comparacion de precios mas valida y sobre todo con conociemiento. Creo que este es un review malintencionado.
