This place can be found in the resort Citta Romana. We went here on a special deal and were very pleasantly surprised. A warm atmosphere, very friendly staff as well as the prices and the food was really nice. They also pour a good glass of wine. Would easily go back there.

We choose this restaurant as it looked great from outside and was really nice situated next to the harbour. To make it clear: the choice was a Desaster. The interior is nice, but the food is not better than mediocrite. However very expensive compered to what you get. Donât get me wrong: I love to dine in restaurants and I am totally okay with paying for the location. But it was an overall mess. First of all: we (me and a friend) went there with our kids (2 and 3 and totally relaxed that evening, what they not always are, but had been even when they starved). However, we asked just after entrance, if it would be possible to order kids menu first, as they were very hungry and the waiter told us, she would tell the cook.It took 75 Minutes before we got some deep fried chicken nuggets and fries. Our meals came again 10 minutes after that and were less than ok, while both over 20â¬. Just nothing special. The salmon was dry and the sauce seemed to be a convenient supermarket buy.The worst thing however was the service. We had to go to the bar to get a menu. order drinks, even if the restaurant was busy but not really full. The most irritating thing however was the waitress. She seemed to be so unfriendly and intolerant that we just couldnât believe what happend. After we dared to tell (after 70 Minutes) that the kids are hungry and we will get some fries in the snack bar next door if it still takes some time (about the 4th time we asked and got reinsures that it will be there in a minute), she started to yell telling us we can visit the kitchen and see how it get prepared. Again: deep fried chicken nuggets and fries...Than, when finally bringing the food, she didnât even try to place it like a waiter would normally do, but just nearly throw it at the other side of the table.Honestly. I know this sounds like a exaggeration, but both families just couldnât believe what was happening. So: Just go somewhere else. We had some days to check the other restaurants and were very satisfied. 1661 however was a place we will definitely not visit again.
What a pleasant surprise....especially the friendly staf. Lotâs of chicken on the menu....but also hamburgers and spareribs. The Soto ajam as starter was a good start. The chicken schnitzel was very good with the pepper saus. My friends were also happy with the spareribs and hamburger. The wine was okay, coffee okay, prices okay. We defenitely go back!
Food is simple, yet so delicious. The full menu can be delivered to your house, which is what we usually do when weâre in the Netherlands. Very convenient.I have never tried the spare ribs before, but my husband keeps saying theyâre the best in the world. Heâs tried spare ribs all across the globe, but they've never matched the quality of these ones.

The restaurant was not full when we arrived, but people were already getting annoyed at the wait to even see a menu. The waitress they eventually managed to attract was bad tempered and had attitude, but reluctanctly to We ok their order for drinks. We waited for about 25 minutes and then managed to get the attention of another waitress, who was about to serve a table who had just arrived! Susanne was delightful and soon soothed the ruffled feathers, took our orders and got our drinks. When the food arrived it was absolutely delicious. I had the best sirloin steak I have had in a very long while and my husband's Schnitzel was huge and so tender. Would I go again? Too right I would (providing Susanne was on duty!)
