We visited midweek, midday. Restaurant was nearly empty. The food for 4 guests was disgusting.Looked good, but tasted no good. For this type of price, you can expect fresh, tasty food all the time. The pizza had no taste but a taste, like rotten fish smells. The "Schnitzel " was done in the fryer, big, but it did not taste good. The sauce was full of peppercorns and needed refining.The served soup was cold and not of much taste.We are customers with this restaurant and previous place since long years. In my opinion, thequality moved in the wrong direction.

I have just returned from a delightful lunch in the hill village of Huelsenbusch. The owners of this delightful restaurant formerly ran die Alte Schlosserei in Engelskirchen, 9 kilometers away, but opened this new restaurant at the beginning of 2014. I am on holiday in Germany and was looking for a change of menu from meat, followed by more meat. We started lunch with a delicous lobster Bisque and I filled this with a wonderful light sea bream dish. My husband had the Zander with chanterelles, fresh cherry tomatoes and new potatoes - he was a very happy man! We washed this doen with a wonderful, but reasonaly priced Pouilly Fume and left the restaurant replete, without having to spend too much money. A great result all round. I would definitley recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the area east of Cologne (Oberbergischeland).
