Find out what International restaurants to try in Giurgiu. Giurgiu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈd͡ʒjurd͡ʒju] ( listen)) is a city in southern Romania. The seat of Giurgiu County, it lies in the historical region of Muntenia. It is situated amid mud-flats and marshes on the left bank of the Danube facing the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the opposite bank. Three small islands face the city, and a larger one shelters its port, Smarda. The rich grain-growing land to the north is traversed by a railway to Bucharest, the first line opened in Romania, which was built in 1869 and afterwards extended to Smarda. Giurgiu exports timber, grain, salt and petroleum, and imports coal, iron, and textiles.

It's a nice place with good looking interior. The location is very nice, right on the central street. The only thing that irritated me is that they asked us to pay the check before we were ready to leave, because our waiters shift was over (at 16:30).

Found the place by accident, its on a pontoon on the Danube, hence the name. The first night i enjoyed the food, all seafood, so returned again the next night. That was even bette, mixture of seafood and meat. Excellent. Attentive service, nice wines. Certainly return here again.

A place where you can eat bbq, burgers or salads. I really like these place, I recomand rainbow latte, uncle Sam burger and no one salad.

La solita cucina di un ristorante senza appeal. Bistecca di maiale ed insalata di verza altro meglio non avventurarsi. Cucina lenta e camerieri strafottenti. Il tutto non a buon prezzo. Da stare alla larga.

A little kitschy maybe, but cute and great fun. The food is excellent, served in hugh proportions. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, the menu extensive. If you want a meal in a traditional mehana atmosphere, this is the place to go.

We only ordered salads, which were good. However, it took them some time to prepare. Also, it's terribly smokey on the terrace, almost everybody there seems to smoke and the restaurant doesn't seem to do anything about it. No matter whether small children or perhaps people sensitive to smoke are there.
