On our table we tried the sushi, the picanha beef and the salmon, everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and accompanied by many side dishes. The attention was great, all waiters were really courteous, and we were served on perfect timings. Will always go back when in Garopaba.

Right on the beach front road on a corner there is this charming Italian cantina restaurant. With the classic checkered table towels decorated with empty bottle of wines serving a melted wax sculptural chandeliers. At night all candles are lighten and the ambiance is very romantic. The menu has all choices, one of the largest i ever seen, but the house speciality is the seafood. The price range is narrow and a bit pricy for these items, but the Grouper is divine.The main dishes are served at the table, and the side dishes can be chosen in a buffet that offers a variety of mediterranean inspired salad bar. It also offers some warm dishes as the baked potatoes covered in a creamy cheese sauce that combines deliciously with the fish. To drink strongly I recommend the local beer brand Phare that comprehends a wide choice of flavours each one harmonizes perfectly with your choice of meat, chicken, pasta or seafood. But you can still have a wine of your preference from the wine list if it better suits you. I spent 5 days in the town and had 3 meals at this restaurant between lunch and dinner. I give Setentaesete two thumbs up!

I really enjoyed the variety of food, including many species of fish to choose. They had anchova, salmon, congrio, pescada, etc. The place is exactly in front of the beach and price is affordable (you pay per kilo). It's not expensive.

This restaurant must be the best kept secret in Garopaba. It's been open on the main shopping street for 5 years yet most tourists who go by it probably never realize it's a restaurant. Most of the action is away from view inside a beautiful Moroccan tent decorated with authentic Moroccan furniture, lamps, rugs etc. You feel youâve been transported to the setting of Ali-Baba or the 1001 nights. What may come as a surprise is that the main kind of food served at this exotic venue is pizza (most people who see the place would probably guess Moroccan or middle eastern.) There are also many pasta dishes and a small assortment of meat/fish dishes. On this visit we started with a nice tomato, greens and dates salad (the dates worked as a token Moroccan touch for us.) As a main course we had a mozzarella, tomato and caramelized onion pizza and a salmon with mango sauce and sweet potato puree. The pizza was fine crust just the way we like it (even better than on last yearâs visit when we were served thicker crust.) The salmon while not a large serving was quite nice and the sweet potato puree had a mix of interesting spices. For desert we had a âhumid chocolate cakeâ which I was hoping would be a flourless type chocolate decadence but it turned out to be more of a flattened brownie (very tasty nonetheless). To drink we had fresh fruit juices, one mango and another pineapple/passion fruit. They were made with good fruit but somewhat watered down, not quite offering the taste and texture that they could. The service was excellent. Some of the personnel are the Argentine owners and their extended family, the rest are Brazilians. Everybody was really friendly and helpful.Bottom line: If I were to rank Garopaba restaurants solely on decor this one would easily take first place. The food is less exotic than the venue but itâs still worth a visit to check the place out, even if to just have a slice of well-made thin-crust pizza or shop at the attached Moroccan-style gift store.
