We know Alatsee as a walking destination and decided this year to stay at the hotel by the lake as a centre for more walking and perhaps some nature.Booking was through Booking.com and straightforward. We decided on a minisuite for extra room and comfort should the weather not cooperate. but it did so that was even nicer. The Suite consisted of a sitting room/lounge attached to a bedroom area and bathroom. All was very comfortable and agreeable.Sadly the room was at the back so there was neither much of a view and indeed no balcony for sitting out. I found that rather surprising and wonder if we had an 'inferior' room. But the place was pleasant enough, the welcome warm and the services all worked. It was nice to be able to take walks straight from the Hotel instead of driving anywhere and after the day visits had ended we had the lake area almost to ourselves.Breakfasts was the usual germanic buffet of cereals, cold meats and cheeses with juice and yoghurt. The service was excellent and indeed the staff actually prepared soft boiled eggs to order and timed to perfection which made a welcome change to the usual hard boiled offerings usually available. A real find for the british palette. What we found most odd was that despite being an excellent restaurant last orders for dinner was as early as 17.00. We are not habitual late diners but felt this was rather strange particularly as we were resident in the place. The place seemed to close up around 18.00 as staff left for home so I don't even know if the bar remained open later. As we had a mini apartment /suite we could of course have our own post prandial drinks in the evening but wonder how guests in smaller rooms fared.

Romantic Restaurant with a fantastic view to the fairytale Castle Neuschwanstein and the Bavarian Alps. In the differently designed areas of the restaurant, guests can enjoy delightful creations of the young kitchen team, which is characterized by seasona
This was an exquisite, lovely dining experience! We were staying at the hotel and this was a convenient choice for dinner on our first night there. However, this turned out to be a wonderful gem and we enjoyed dining there very much. The décor was warm and inviting, as was the service. The staff was incredibly well trained. Our service person was delightful â a perfect balance between humorous engagement and light conversation with the ability to step back so we were able to enjoy our meal. He was also incredibly familiar with the wine list & menu and was able to provide intelligent and well-considered recommendations for us. Something I always appreciate in restaurants. The food was very delicious. Created with what feels like the freshest of regional produce, and presented as if it was art on a plate. If youâre here during the day, youâll also get to savour views of the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles while enjoying a great breakfast or lunch. They are busy here, especially on weekends. So if you wish to dine here for dinner on weekends, I would suggest making a booking. Schwangau is such a lovely area, still close to trendy and bustling Fussen but presents with a lot more tranquillity and quiet charm. If youâre not staying in Schwangau but still in the vicinity, I would suggest a short drive for a meal at Rubezahl - itâs fine dining at its best and we really enjoyed it.

Restaurant â Bar â Café â Chapeau! Gluten free food! International flair on 3 floors in Füssen, surrounded by lakes and mountains. After a short while, the restaurant has positioned itself in the top spots of Füssen's gastronomy with its attractive food m
We first stopped here to have a drink before dinner somewhere else. They have an incredibly extensive list of gins and made us two fabulous cocktails- my husband had a house special smoked gin with rosemary. I had a more traditional Hendricks and cucumber. Both were delicious and went down easily as we sat outside and watched the world go by. We paired our cocktails with a hot crunchy phyllo dough wrapped feta cheese. A great stop. We returned the next day with friends for lunch and some beers. Dunkels were good and the poke bowls were fresh and flavorful. We ordered one with shrimp and mango with mixed greens in a sweet mango dressing. The second was a falafel and fried halloumi cheese with greens, brown rice and hummus. The owners or managers were the same for both visits and they were very mind and helpful. Yes, these guys are always on duty and doing their best. So that makes them very happy. Thanks a lot and enjoy your trip. The Chapeau!-Team wishes all the best to our nice guests from Seattle.

We are an irish pub & restaurant. We have a big choice of whiskey, gin and rum. We have a lot of live events, irish folk, classic rock or rock'n'roll.
Nothing bad, equally nothing particularly good. When there are so many far better local German/Austrian Stubes around why bother coming here

This is an eating place just below the summit of Falkenstein. It is well worth the walk up (a bit of a scramble the last 200 yards, so wear stout shoes). Admire the view, then back to the restaurant for something to eat and a fortifying glass of Prinz Leupolds Donker Beer. If you can get a table on the terrace - heaven! Then to admire the architects designs for the projected castle. King Ludwig II was a monarch who, 1) never involved his subjects in a war, 2) left them richer when he died than when he came to the throne, and, 3) whose hobby was building fairytale castles on mountain tops. Yet they called him "Mad King Ludwig". There is no justice in the world!
