Reviews on International food in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Dehradun (/ˌdɛrəˈduːn/) or Dehra Dun (Garhwali: देरादूण) is the interim capital city of Uttarakhand, a state in the northern part of India. Located in the Garhwal region, it lies 236 kilometres (147 mi) north of India's capital New Delhi and 168 kilometres (104 mi) from Chandigarh. It is one of the "Counter Magnets" of the National Capital Region (NCR) being developed as an alternative centre of growth to help ease the migration and population explosion in the Delhi metropolitan area and to establish a smart city at Dehradun. During the days of British Raj, the official name of the town was Dehra.

The interior is just out of this world..it seems as if we are in 1970. I happen to stop by Grandpa cafe which is very near the railway station. Pleasantly surprised with this cosy and clean place. It has an interesting menu and they make fresh homemade food in front of you. Loved their pasta and sandwiches. The owners are super friendly in case you have time and want to go through their photo memory wall.

There seems to have been a management change in Tirupati restaurant post which the quality has clearly deteriorated. The chef and waiters are the same people. They are not interested in serving even when only 4 tables are occupied. The managers are busy chatting outside with no view of service quality in the restaurant. We have faced this twice and do not recommend going there again. There are many other restaurants offering much better food and service in Dehradun.

An Incredible Indian Gastronomy Experience is awaiting you! A casual sit down Gastropub. Every weekend, a Live Band is there to entertain.
Very beautiful place, interior and arrangements are good, mountain view is awesome. They had a lot range and variety of drinks and food is very delicious. Live singing band is good, service is better than any other restaurant around there. It little bit expensive but once you visit here then it does not matter.

Melt is the restaurant of the hotel Saffron Leaf located in GMS road on the left side after you crossed the Balliwala Chowk and go towards ISBT.The hotel itself is maintained quite well and the restaurant is on the first floor. The staff are very polite and the rates are marginally high matching with the hotel standard. The interior is quite good and spacious. There are open separate partitions for privacy. The food is really tasty and portions are also sufficient.
