Good Northern Italian food at a reasonable price - but alas no wine license! We appreciated their flexibility as we arrived post-theatre as they were closing.

Stopped here recently on our way further South in beautiful Kerry. We did hesitate a little before we went in as the decor is a little dated. However, that aside, the food was absolutely wonderful! The staff were excellent and hygiene was top class. Food prices are extremely reasonable. The exterior and interior need a little modernising. Very impressed with the allergy notes on the Menu - other high end restaurants in the area, should take a leaf out of their book metaphorically speaking of course!

dined here last night. Nice restaurant with stunning views over the lakes in summer unfortunately not so at this time of year but not much could be done about that. The staff were attentive maybe a little too much so but this is an individual preference which can vary. The food was good and one could not complain but Ive eaten better at lower cost. Just two things occurred to me were that at the price being charged one would not expect to be paying a supplement for steak and when we ordered French coffee in stead of coffee at the end we were charged full price even though coffee was already included in the dinner price, perhaps a supplement would have sufficed. Lovely athmosphere, nice food even if a little pricey. Whats not to like

After a short, but very stormy and rainy first day we were there for our first Dinner.Some days later we came again for Lunch on our last day.I love the mixture of design, that you find inside.Service is friendly and fast and the kitchen is good. We were very happy on both visits, my favourite for lunch on a walking day are the fresh soups.

The Roast House is very special, not least for grinding their own coffee beans but providing a restaurant produce to be very proud of. Location, welcome, warmth of service and an ever changing seasonal menu makes for a perfect lunchtime venue. Always vibrant and full of atmosphere this restaurant always delivers. Feeling happy and content in the midst of a lunchtime rush means The Roast House has delivered. Well done.

After visiting Dunquin Harbour we drove back to Killarney, and on our way checked out some of the pubs for dinner. When we spotted the Anvil, we parked and were fortunate to get one of the last free spots inside.The pub was bustling with life and it was a really fun evening (and a great birthday if I might add!). The food was really good and the drinks were fantastic. The staff was really friendly and we couldn't be happier.We returned the next day for lunch, and my mother unfortunately didn't really like her salad, but the meat was really great there!
