We arrived at Luces at 8 and by 8:20 it was full. The restaurant is run by a Russian couple and is attended by the owners. The menu offers a mix of russian, spanish and international dishes. Don't expect a 2⬠mayonaisse filled tapas though. As appetizer we got a croquette sampler ( not sure the sample is on the menu, but you can ask the owner) and ceviche. The ceviche is somewhere in the middle between an ahi tuna tartar and tuna ceviche. The croquettes were deliciuos. Don't miss them!Going to the main course. Being half Russian myself, I was tempted by "kotleta with grechka" ( russian meatballs with buckwheat) but ended up ordering lamb with couscous. My wife got salmon. Both were excellent and also had a very nice presentation. ( See the pictures)As for wine we ordered a bottle of local ( Murcian) white wine. It was a Monastrell grape, Jumilla D.O, but I forgot to take a picture if the bottle. The service. Since you are attended by the owners, they DO want you to be happy and the service is very personalized. That said, if you want a quick meal, it's not yout place. Think of a Michelin star restaurant at 1/3 of the price.Thank you so much, gsala, for you detailed review and the rate you gave us!We hope you can come again some day and try other dishes of our menu!Cheers,The Team Luces

We had dinner out and the overall experience was good. The staff are friendly, but one of the waitress was new and needed lot of help. The food is nice and we especially liked the octopus and the miniburgers. Maybe the dessert was the thing we didnt like too much, it was a coulant a bit dry but the coconut icecream was very good. We had a full meal for 25 ⬠per person (drinks and dessert included). Well be back.Greetings and thank you for your comment. I am glad to hear your overall experience was positive. I apologize for the apparent lack of experiencie of the waitress. We haven't had any new staffers for months, so they should all have more than enough experience and be able to demonstrate it. I will speak with her next weekend, since it is a priority for us to provide customers with the best service. I was sorry to hear you didn't like the coulant, since it is my favourite dessert :) Next time you come to visit us, please try another dessert, I can assure you will not be dissapointed.Again, thank you very much for you comment.Hope to see you again very soon in Abayarde.Kindest regards.Jaime P.Manager

Unique place in the area for foodies and breaking traditions we put on the table the most innovative and contemporary cuisine . come quickly!!
While this restaurant was on the pricey side for Cartagena, the food was worth it. We had a three course meal there and every dish was exquisite - I would recommend the sardines for starter especially. The only slight disappointment was that they'd sold out of the scallops for main! My husband had the octopus for main and absolutely loved it.They have a superb selection of deserts as well - something for everyone. There is a menu in English so you know what you're getting, I speak very very basic Spanish and we had Google Translate so we managed just fine!
