I love Oleana and have gone there many times. The food rarely if ever disappoints. Highlights last night were the fatteh, lamb and summer squash roulade, sultans delight, the striper, and the deviled eggs. The one area for improvement is the welcome. The servers are always nice, but ... I always leave with the sense that they aren't very interested in the customers, because the food is enough to get people to come back.

Highland Kitchen is a family-owned neighborhood restaurant and bar located "up the hill" in the heart of Somerville. HK has been delivering American comfort food, well-crafted cocktails, friendly service and a killer jukebox since 2007.
This is such a great spot. Cool, hipster vibe, great service (Victoria), and the food is always simple and delicious. We enjoyed an early family dinner on a recent Saturday. If you donât want to wait for a table- get there at 5pm when they open. Our favorites include the deviled eggs, the chicken liver toasts, the black bean burger, the shrimp and grits, and the grilled gruyere cheese sandwich with house-made tomato soup. Insider tip: there are a few parking spots behind the restaurant if you get lucky!

Reading the other reviews my family of 4 appears to have drawn an unlucky straw with our dyed red haired waitress. My goodness what a rude lady. We eat out very regularly and have never been chastised in such a way. Food perfectly ok. Not exceptional or original, and a nice spot to graze. Just avoid the grumpy red head.

We enjoyed our business dinner here very much. The waitstaff provided excellent service for such a large party. I enjoyed a savory squash soup that was delicious to begin the meal. The main course of a crusted haddock was truly outstanding. The filet was thick and flaky and perfectly cooked and the accompanying ingredients accented the gentle flavor of the fish. The apple crumble dessert with homemade ice cream was definitely work the trips to the gym Iâll need. Our hosts offered us a preselected menu so I canât answer more about the menu but our meal was memorable.

Typical deli fare ... decent food, decent prices. Atmosphere seemed pretty casual. We ordered a variety of foods for take out - nothing was exceptional.
