Nice bar with relaxed atmosphere, different from the other bars and restaurants on offer in Renesse. Quiet when we were there; the lady said the bar was relatively new having previously been a Rock cafe so it would time for the clientele to change. Food was excellent and well presented. The chef is keen to please, with small taster dishes being presented at start of meal by friendly staff. Wine good too and meal for 2 and wine around £25 a head. We enjoyed so much we visited twice. I had spare ribs both times, which were delicious - partner had cod and rice dish, both well presented and full of flavour. Looking forward to re-visiting next year.

Nice place for food and drinks, just had drinks here on the lovely terrace on the main square of the cosy Zierikzee.

Visited the restaurant as a solo act ... passing by during the week at noon .. the holiday traffic picks up more in the evening it seems since there were not many people around. But then the sun was out in full so most folks would be on the beaches anyway. That said, I was well received by an very very friendly lady, sat down in a nice atmosphere and went for the spare ribs and a beer. The food was pretty good and favorably priced. The meat fell off the spare ribs, there were plenty of ribs and I was even asked if I wanted some more, which I declined. The dish came with fries, a salad and sauces.Overall a thumbs up for Jacob Cats. I did find the overall taste pallet of the combination a bit too sweet. The ribs have sweet sauce, the salad was sweet oriented and even the curry sauce tasted sweet to me.Next time I will ask for a spicy version :-)But there I said it ... next time .. will visit again.

Too expensive, sharing one little salat and one little bowl of patatoes for 6 people eating spare ribbs at 16 â¬/Person and nobody (not even the kids eaten an adult portion) felt ok with this plate, some spare ribs were half burned and the stuff seemed to avoid us as we got no bread and butter as others and drinks took a long time too. A little beer for 2,20 ⬠is kind of OK if the service is good. But this place seemed to have enough business now with Holland people so that they can treat german tourists as bad as us.There are many othe nice locations where food, service and prices are much better than at Jeanzz

This great 'snack bar' just off the diving spot serves homemade fries and other snack, all prepared with local ingredients. The owner is very environmental aware, resulting in small cans for sauces, to be filled by the customers to each individual's needs.Should you be in the area, make sure to pay a visit!
