Trying too hard too many things at the same time. Healthy. Fusion. Cool. Vegetarian. Young. Trendy. Classic. Gourmet. Stylish. Old. New. Restaurant. Bar. Dark. Light. Result doesn't satisfy fully. Although the food is of good quality, interesting and original, it's hipness seems to shrink the portions and increase the price. Excellent location, but I feel one day it's extreme conceptualness will kill it. Also, the service is not friendly, has that slightly arrogant "I drink lemon-infused water so I'm better than you" vibe. Not a fan.Dear Zerosixzero,Thank you for your time. What to answer??We are sorry that our concept has confused you. We are also sorry that our service has left the impression to be arrogant. We just might not become friends. Many regards,BonbecPS: Sorry for the imperfect English as well :-P

The Rosengarten is a really nice place to view over the city and the food is good. They have multiple starters, which are all really good. As the main menu we had fondue, which is good, but not the best one from Bern. Also it's not that much fondue. The best is the dessert, which is really good, a lot of different house made stuff, like chocolate mousse or chocolate cake. The surprise was at the end with the bill. They brought us the whole time water (with and without gas) and didn't tell anything about the price. And normally water without gas is for free in Switzerland. They charge around ten Swiss Francs per liter of water, without telling anything in the beginning. So this is my big negative point. A more clear communication and don't charge for water without gas.

âThe Steinhalle restaurant is a place where we cook our favourite dishes and have fun doing so. We offer the food and drink we would love to have every day. The food at the Steinhalle restaurant is tasty, the service is very personal and the atmosphere dy
We walked by this restaurant and decided spontaneously to have lunch there. The menu sounded interesting and so we went for a burger and a vegetarian ramen, each with salad. The salad arrived quickly but the main course took forever. The open kitchen was a fascinating pastime - everyone was very busy but why were later arrivals served more quickly than us? I can only assume that it must have been the onzen egg (part of the ramen): according to internet sources, it is a slow/low temperature cooked egg - about 30 to 60 min long. If you prefer your eggs well done then this onzen egg is not for you: My wife was able to eat only the egg-yolk... The spinach in the ramen would have been better if tender and not so fibrous. As for the burger: Rereading the comments from other visitors, I should have expected the question "How would you like your beef to be cooked?" The bun was slightly on the dry side; and why do you put the napkin under the burger where it was soaked wet already when it arrived? This place has potential - location- and quality-wise.

We passing through the railway station in Bern on a Sunday and needing lunch decided to stop at Tibits. It was very busy and we were advised to find seats before buying our lunch. Having secured seats, we investigated the buffet. The food was freshly cooked and looked appetising although we thought the choice was a little limited. Very tasty though! This is one of those restaurants where you serve yourself and then have your plate weighed in order to determine cost. We paid less than we would have done if we had a single course in another restaurant but then our portion size was smaller.Dear KevinMany thanks for you review and your recent visit to tibits. We are happy that you liked our food and we are looking Forward to soon welcome you again.Warmest regardsyour tibits team
