Tonight our family of 4 enjoyed a wonderful experience at Eddie Vâs and it all starts at the top with Twan. He was the Manager on duty this evening and was solely responsible for getting this evening started on the right foot! This was my first time dining at this restaurant but we were in town to celebrate our 29 year old sonâs birthday and it could not have been a better evening! Not only were all the food selections excellent but Jeffâs wine selections were exceptional as well! In addition to Jeff, Simon our waiter for the evening was the perfect mixture of humor and professionalism and definitely worth requesting on your next trip here. Our food selections for the evening were all spot on starting with the Calamari, Lobster Tacos, and Shrimp Cocktail. Next we had the Twin Filets Oscar Style as well as the Tuna and the Chicken...all were excellent but the stars of the show were the Crab Fried Rice and the Lobster Mashed Potatoes! And for the grand finally the Bananas Foster dessert is a must! If you want to enjoy a special celebration or just a wonderful dining experience in Austin you canât do better than Eddie Vâs!

The restaurant deserves a 5 star, BUT price almost made it loose the top position. It is not a place to come on a budget, and especially not if having a couple of drinks with the food (I miss the $3 mimosas and bloody Maryâs from Dallas...).Food was top-notch! The âBennyâ=eggs Benedict were not as usual, and was one of the best Iâve had due to the hint of truffle they had added. Awesome taste! But the portion is too small, and should include some more sides or so. The duck confit was a little more solid, and tasted great.Service and setting was great. The outdoor area is nice and quiet, as the restaurant is located in East Austin in a residential area.

This spot was not on my radar but it was right by our hotel and we needed a snack before late dinner reservations.... I was VERY pleased and surprised by how good it was! We shared the Normandie and practically licked the to-go box clean.
