Reviews on International food in Arosa, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. Nestled in a the beautiful Schanfigg Valley, Arosa is the very picture of an Alps village, from its diverse array of ski runs to the charming wooden houses that are so quintessentially Swiss. If you want, you can round out your ski vacation with concerts, architectural tours, and a visit to the 500-year-old Bergkirchli mountain chapel.

The tittle says it all. We had dinner here 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were attentive but discreet and the food choices were just amazing.
The Tschuggen has several restaurant, including one star Michelin "La Vetta" which was fully booked so we settled for the main upscale Grand. The punch line is that all about this establishment feels out of its time. Starting with a dress code that in winter times has mandatory shirt and jacket, which is really out of synch with the times, the result are wrong sized and completely out of fashion "lent-by-the-reception" numerous dark jackets...so much for elegance! It must be the last of his kind...and sorry to say but the average age of customers somehow seems to reflects it...Same can be said about the cerimonous and full-pomp service, which comes straight from the hotel school schoolbook, perfect but lacking warmth and mountain spirit. The food was similar (we mostly had venison), very good but old fashioned, with heavy gravy sauce and abundant sides. The wine list is encyclopedic and has can reach summit probably reserved to a more Eastern certain clientele. All is all if you want to go back 30 years and experience on the last survivors of a lost etiquette and pomp (at least in the alps), this is the place for you (won't come cheap though). But if you enjoy a more subtle and modern elegance, you you are (or feel) younger, i would suggest a pass.

We had dinner together with our children and really enjoyed the quality of each single course. Unfortunately we had to pore our own wine and two dishes were served either wrong or not served as requested (requested to leave out a certain ingredient). Overall we enjoyed our evening and will certainly give this nice place a second chance. Dear Guest,Thank you for the review of our restaurant! We are glad that you enjoyed your Dinner and want to apologize for the mistakes. SincerelyThe Muntanella Team

We stayed at The Stoffel Hotel about .5 mile from the restaurant. Although the Stoffel has a lovely restaurant on premises, it has a prix-fixed menu at $54.00 with a choice of only 3 entries, mostly beef. Since I do not eat beef (although my husband does) I prefer more choice and not have to pay for dessert which I do not eat. The wonderful Mattias at the Hotel Stoffel (highly recommended for a comfortable stay and views to die for) suggested Grishuna as we could walk there easily from the hotel..The first night my husband ordered soup and Noodles and King Prawns, and I ordered a green salad and Mushroom Risotto, and we had two glasses of the local beer. Bread and butter also came with the meal. The quality for the food and the taste was excellent, we were very happy and the bill came to 77sf (about $75.00). We returned the next night as I had to have the Noodles and King Prawns (which I greatly enjoyed) and green salad. My husband had the Sirloin Steak (37 sf) with vegetables and french fries. The bill was 84 sf. If you are staying in Inner Arosa (about 2 miles from the Arosa train station) this is a very convenient and excellent choice. Highly recommended.

We visited Bullrian for New Yearâs Eve 2019. Overall we had an absolutely fantastic evening; delicious food, lively atmosphere and energetic staff. The menu consisted of tapas to start, steak as a main course and a chocolate mousse to finish. All accompanied with a delicious wine menu. We chose to upgrade our main course to filet which tasted absolutely delicious. The day after, we were still talking about which dish was our favourite - we couldnât choose, they were all amazing. From start (an introduction to the building, the kitchen and the concept) to finish, we were overwhelmed by the wonderful staff and service. Fingers crossed youâll open a restaurant in Copenhagen one day! And otherwise, wishing you best of luck in Arosa. Weâll be back. Dear katrinawm2100Thank you so much for the time you took to recommend us to other guests! We loved to jump into the New Year 2019 together with u!
