A very different place to meet, to drink, to eat...really a very special place.
Really relaxed and comfortable with wonderful interior design indoors .A good quiet location with a spacious terrace in the centre of town .Great coffee ,cakes and delicious tapas ,all very good value .If youâre lucky youâll meet Kevin from Glasgow or Felipe de Algeciras who will sometimes dance fantastic flamenco with a superb Guitarrista .The place to go in Algeciras !

Embers is born out of the Josper Charcoal oven where all our meals are fashioned by our star Chef Antonio Gutierrez. Enjoy the difference to other restaurants in Gibraltar. Savour our Blind menu and prepare to be blown away!
The camembert starter was alright. We shared it and it's perfect for 2-3 people. Remember to leave room for the main though! I got the entrecote steak with cube chips and pepper sauce. I asked for it to be cooked rare but the waiter doesn't speak English and understood "medium". As such my steak was more cooked than I'd have liked. I decided not to complain because I don't mind steak medium cooked even though I prefer rare. It was a good steak and the sauce was nice. My fiancé got the steak, egg and chips and loved it. We both just about managed to eat everything! It was very good. Desserts change every day. We shared a banoffee pie which was ok. In total the bill came to just under £70 for two people. The quality of the steak is worth the price. Not giving 5 stars because I thought the starter and dessert, although tasty, were a bit overpriced and because of the steak misunderstanding.

Having just opened earlier this year this restaurant is off the beated track but well worth the visit. Open from noon to midnight every day it has a menu to cover everything from a tapa, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, a football match and sunbathing by the pool. There are areas to relax on sofas and comfy chairs and the dining tables are ample and the seats spacious and comfortable. Our pretty and professional waitress took our orders for drinks and food and in a very short time service started. We started sharing a salad of endives and blue cheese, steamed mussels and squid with american sauce. For mains the wife and I had grilled sea bream and our friends a shoulder of lamb a fillet of grouper, We shared a Death by Chocolate (just a chocolate fudge cake that wouldn't have killed anybody!!) The main attraction of this place apart from the excellent food is it's location, location location!! We were very lucky to have a poniente day (westerly wind) overlooking the Starit of Gibraltar and the view to Morocco was outstanding. Considering we were in the last days of November it was over 20C and we were able to sit outside and soak up the rays over an outstanding lunch. Plenty of parking space as well.Dear Client, We thank you for the time spent in sharing your experience with PURO ESTRECHO, as your comments help us improve the quality of our service. We are very pleased to know that your visit with us has met your expectations. Comments like yours encourage us to continue working to improve our service in the future. We appreciate the trust placed in us and hope to see you again soon.Yours sincerely.Department of Quality.
