We were quite sceptical after reading the reviews but when the complementary pebre and bread arrived, with our main dishes following shortly after (less than 10mins) we put our worries aside and enjoyed our lovely food. The prawn pil pil was perfect as was the large portion of reineta! Would definitely recommend this place!!

Much of my negativity is due to the lead waiter upstairs who ruined what could have been a decent experience. The seafood was decent but nothing special. My sense is that unless you are Chilean, youre not welcome here. Unfortunate, given how nice everyone is in the rest of this quaint seaside town.

One of our mains was borderline inedible. The ice cream was excellent, but no way a compensation. If I could have my money (and time) back and stay at Terra Vina (Santa Cruz) instead - I would.Dear RH.First of all I would like to thank you for letting us know your opinion, though I would have appriciated if you had told us about the problem during you visit giving us a chance to correct whatever was not to your liking. Two weeks have passed, but checking the waiters' order block and our memories, we have tried to pinpoint what went wrong during your visit to our resturant. We have been able to establish that you and your wife ordered the following dishes: Starters: French Country Style Paté and Green Pea Soup flavoured with mint from our gardens. Main courses: French Beef Casserole with potatoe suflé and Spanish Sherry Chicken with couscous. Dessert: Home-made icecream. My co-owner tells me that he checked in on you during the starters, and that you had told him you liked the dishes, especially the French Paté. You yourself say that the ice cream was exellent. In another complaint you state that you should have sent your dish back and asked for the Spanish Sherry Chicken that your wife had - if I understand correctly you had no critics to this dish. This leaves only the French Beef Casserole that was the dish you ordered. To be honest, we have not been able to pinpoint the problem; we, the owners, had this same dish for lunch the day after your visit to our restaurant and it was prepared as it should be and the quality was correct. But ofcourse, in taste there are no rules.I regret that we were not able to make your visit to our restaurant a pleasant memory, and I can only appologize for that. I do wish you had communicated the problem to either me or my co-owner, or one of the staff - we would have done our best to rectify the problem, so that you would not have left with such an unpleasant experience.

I had mixed expectations because of the mixed reviews BUT we loved this place! We arrived a bit late for lunch at ~15:00, but they were very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to this the restaurant just had a few tables to attend still, and so we had the ocean-view patio almost to ourselves. We all ordered fish and had a great meal. It was fresh and tasty. All in all a great experience, we'll be back for sure!

Have a relaxing morning coffee on the deck overlooking the beach. The coffee is good and service is good. Prices tend to be on the high side. Oh, but the view...

We had a very tasty family dinner on a wet and windy Sunday evening. I went for the special offer which included a Pisco Sour, starter, glass of wine, main course and sweet. Everything was very tasty. The best meal that weâve had in many months.
