Long queue just for take away order n payment, after that, longer queue to hand over our order slip and being served. After almost 40 minutes of queuing n finally arrived at the front, a not so recently arrived waiter told me that I was on the wrong queuing line that there is another queue intended for men only.. in a pack n hot restaurant n nobody told me about that sooner..not even the seems to be head of or cashier.. so I insisted on being served on that queue.. n finally got what I deserved.. and... the curry was good, the duck was small that's why its so cheap.. the ayam tangkap was usual.. my mother in law makes better ayam tangkap..

Recommend dish is Lamb Curry and Fried Chicken. They will serve all variety dishes at your table like Padang style. Curry is nice, very light, however I prefer thicker curry. Try cucumber juice. It is fresh and looks beautiful. Price is highly affordable.

He then moved to Medan to start his chicken restaurant business, which did very well leading to the franchise today.Ayam bakar is barbecued/grilled chicken served with white rice, sambal (ground chillies) and garnished with a slice of cucumber, a slice of egg plant and a piece of tahu (tofu). The secret is in the way the chicken is prepared - the chicken is tender and tasty. The sambal is so-so, but because the chicken is already tasty, who cares about the sambal?If you do not want the barbecue chicken, you have a choice of fried chicken or ayam penyet. Or if you dont like chicken (then why go to wong solo in the first place?), you can have pecel lele (fried catfish) instead.If the chicken isnt enough, you can add on other dishes. I would suggest the sambal tempe with ikan bilis. Very hot but yummy!For drinks, there are the usual range of fruit juices and teas. I tried jus poligami - a fruit punch of mango, papaya and orange. You can tell the name is a bit tongue in cheek as the owner, puspo wardoyo is famed for having several wives!A must try if you are in indonesia.

Visited this restaurant often over 9 years. It is a big restaurant on stilts at the coastline. Parts of the restaurant is open and windy, but there are also airconditioned parts if you would wish so. Always found it with good food and if you sit in the front you also will have a good view of the sea, and the sunset in the afternoon. There is a good choice of seafood, but also other food is available

Warung Makan Hasan is a small local chain restaurant that sells Acehnese commoners' dishes. I myself are not fan of Acehnese food, so I probably am a bit biased on this. Its "signature" dish, ayam tangkap, is fried chicken that is fried until very dry, it losses its moisture. I went to various places thinking that there could be someone who cook ayam tangkap differently (and tastier), but found nothing. The chicken is just very dry. However, the tea here is decent, with sort of pineapple or jackfruit flavor.The dining area is spacious. It has a couple of huts next to the dining area, suitable for large-group dining. Price is reasonable.

located near the airport, usually a lot of Pramugari (stewardess) eat here that's why its called ayam pramugari. order for 1 package of whole chicken to take away (considering i'm very full at the moment after culinary tour). but when arrived in medan, I'm disappoint. i should order more because it tasted so yummy. chicked fried with various herbs as seasoning.

We were looking for authentic Indo/Malay roti canai and teh terek in Aceh. My daughters not being locals are susceptible to upset stomach so we try very hard to avoid street food and open air street café/food stall. Our driver found us Canai Mamak and we were very happy to order our roti with chicken dipping and teh terek (pulled tea). The roti canai is slightly different from Malaysia, less doughy and thinner and crispy. I love it, dipping the crispy roti into the chicken curry sauce ! The teh was perfect and came in a big glass mug. For those travelers looking for a clean restaurant for local food, I highly recommend Canai Mamak.

If you happen to be in Banda Aceh, it is almost considered a crime if you don't make time to stop by Mie Razali. Their specialty is spicy noodle with a crab on top of it. The noodle tastes delicious with generous serving and affordable price (considering the price of a whole crab they put on top of the noodle). The service was also good, quick and efficient.
