The price is superb and the serving sizes are massive. This was my first experience with butter chicken and I will definitely be returning here for some more! I could not believe the amount of food they put in front of me, it would have lasted for at least two meals (but it was delicious and I gouged myself and ate it in one). I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I imagine it would be great! The food came out fast and hot so I was definitely pleased.

Our first visit was positive and we'll be back to sample other items. The butter chicken was a little too sweet but my husband's chicken jalfrezi was excellent. Nice fluffy basmati. Fresh nan bread. Great mango lassi. Reasonable prices. Nice ambiance. Varied menu. Nothing negative to report. Worth a visit.

Authentic food, good prices. The veg dishes I had were prepared in the south Indian style and exactly the flavours I remember.There are several ways to enjoy their meals: Daily veg and non-veg lunch. Evenings and Saturdays you can choose from a selection of dosa and other specialties. Weekly package menus can be called or emailed in. This is enough for a week's worth of meals. Catering is also available for larger get togethers.The only reason I did not give full 5 stars is that the lunch containers are styrofoam which are not as easy to recycle in the region of Waterloo, you need to take them to the landfill. Next time I will bring along my own containers if that's not an issue for the staff.Keep in mind that while you can eat at Shiris Kitchen that this is primarily take-away and catering. This keeps your meals fresh and the small venue allows you to have a great price on your meal.Vegans, I would recommend calling ahead to confirm the veg special lunch of the day.

Returned to this local outstanding restaurant for lunch and was once again completely satisfied with the food and service! Batar and family are most gracious and whose hospitality and service rivals the best white table cloth establishments. A copy of their lunch menu is enclosed for your information. Dinner offers more choices and will most certainly please those who enjoy Indian and Afghanistan cuisine. Today I opted for one of my favorites, Chicken Tandoori that is unique in that they use boneless chunks of Chicken rather than bone in examples elsewhere. Several moist, tender and flavorful chucks are placed on a mound of tender rice with a cucumber salad for only $10.99! Naan can be added for a nominal fee. Since they are located in a mini shopping area, parking is ample, convenient and free. If you want an authentic meal at great prices with fine service, Chopan Kabob is the perfect choice. Very Highly Recommended!

Great little family-run restaurant in Waterloo. Comfortable atmosphere and excellent service from the owner's son. Delicious Indian food, generous portions (my wife and I ordered 3 dishes plus rice and barely ate half of it - lots for lunch tomorrow!). Lots of vegetarian options. It's now our favourite Indian restaurant in Waterloo for sure.

New owner in the last month. Nice decor, lighting and ambiance. Soft music in background. Full bar. Clean. Pleasant staff. Timely food service. Tables and 1/2 booths.Food was ok but not great...a work in progress I believe. Be careful in high heels on the tile...we saw a lady almost fall when leaving. Handicapped accessible.
