We thought we would try a takeaway from here after many years of driving past and dismissing it. Oh how I wish we had kept on driving. Spicy food with absolutely no flavour just heat - why bother? Doughy naan bread, chewy onion pakora, decent portion size just right for the bin.

I live locally and have been visiting on and off for the past few years. The food has always been ok, hence repeat visits, but I donât know what on earth theyâre doing staff-wise and itâs destroying their restaurant.Thereâs been a late 40âs woman there for a while who is just getting ruder and ruder and more bad tempered as time goes on. Another similar one has joined her in recent months and the swearing in the restaurant in front of customers, inappropriate banter and sheer insulting unprofessionalism is absolutely out of hand. The last straw was when we arrived on the off chance yesterday evening to see if they had a table (almost always they have, even on a Saturday night) and we were curtly ushered out by the usual very flustered irritable woman who was waiting for a big table to come in, but what topped it off was the newer one hollered from the back of the restaurant âgo and have a McDonalds insteadâ then proceeded to cackle with laughter. Thatâs just not on. Weâre a very polite family, easy going and friendly, we didnât expect that. Sorry, but I wonât be going back, Iâll drive into Penzance instead and Iâd urge others to give Balti King a wide berth too, especially if youve got family with you. The foul mouthed aggressive double act is just too much. Sorry Balti King, those two are destroying your business.

We were looking for somewhere last minute when we did the usual âgoogle mapsâ search and saw Curry Garden, so after a quick call they managed to fit us in at just 15 minutes notice, (two adults, two children)The venue is a very basic but standard Indian restaurant, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, there is no childrenâs menu however the staff were more than happy to halve an adult portion (and the price) for our children. The food was tasty and the meal very fulfilling, I went for something very spicy and it did not disappoint and the rest of the gang meals were super, our only criticism would be that the âgravyâ could have been a bit thicker, everything else was great, reasonable price overall for the location of the restaurant, we would recommend a visit here.
