An eloquent and dynamic Indian tandoori restaurant centralised within the Windsor Town Centre besides the Trinity Church and East Berkshire College. A local favourite, this restaurant has been serving both locals and tourists alike since 1987. With an int
Very good Indian restaurant, we have a business dinner with 4 colleagues, we ordered many different dishes and everything was extremely good. The spices were well calibrate, making the dinner easy to digest, creating very appealing flavours. The prices were in line with the place. I recommended for a good diner.

The Akash is one of three Indian restaurants in Burnham High Street, located at the bottom closest to Burnham Park. The restaurant itself was renovated fairly recently and now offers a relaxing atmosphere with seating interspersed with screens to give some privacy. The food too has been revamped. Still the same staples of Indian cuisine, but presentation is of a higher standard than the usual Indian restaurant. Our meals were served piping hot. My only gripe was my biriyani was a little bland, but I would definitely come back and try a spicier dish next time !Thank you for your valuable feedback. Here at Akash we have been serving freshly cooked food for more than 38 years for our guests and we take feedback seriously always improving our standards and maintaining our quality, our experienced team are always here to help choose the right dishes if your unsure if you would like a spicy or non spicy,Our street food range are very popular if it after a different taste.Thank you look forward to seeing you again

Experience the exciting atmosphere at Javitri restaurant. A deliciously diverse menu of authentic Indian & Bangladeshi cuisines. Our chef has conjured up curry for every palate; a journey of discovery through the majesty and depth of Indian cooking. We ha
Large, modern Indian fairly central in Uxbridge. It is fairly typical of most Indian restaurants, offering all the usual Tandoori dishes, plus korma, Bhuna, etc. There is a range of more interesting specials. Not a place for a special event IMO, but good for a friends or family night out. Friendly service.

Fine Dine Restaurant
We turned up on the off chance on a Friday night. We were seated straight away and drinks ordered. The menu was a little different and not a huge one at that but the food was amazing and served very hot. The restaurant was very loud and couldnt have a nice chat without shouting at each other. My only complaint was the cost: no starters, no breads and only 1 dessert and the bill was £70 for 2 of us. Anyway the food was great so guess thats what you get for eating in Windsor.

Turned up on a busy Saturday evening- we hadnât booked but this wasnât a problem- the staff were very attentive throughout the evening- nothing was too much trouble. We selected off a Standard Indian food menu although I did hear a gentleman asking for some specific flavouring to his meal and this wasnât a problem. Great atmosphere- quite noisy but this was due to the amount of people all having a good time!! We loved it! £70... but 2 of us had 4 courses and 4 alcoholic drinks in total- not overpriced.

Family run restaurant serving Panjabi food at its very best with an added little twist. Gourmet Chicken Tikka Burgers, Panjabi Full English Breakfast and Chocolate Samosas are just some of the exciting dishes on our menu to name but a few. Fantastic Cockt
After several glowing recommendations, I decided to vary from our usual haunts and tried out the Panjab on London Road. First surprise was that the takeaway menu is far more limited than the main menu but I guess they want to concentrate on restaurant diners. Not the usual friendly welcome I get from elsewhere either, very straight faced - didn't take too long to prepare (about 25 minutes) and smelt delicious. That special smell that really good indian cuisine can have. Overall not cheap - about £10 more than I would normally pay My main reason for the average rating is that every single dish was laced with chillie, even the Butter Chicken! For my kids who normally like a Korma, this was inedible and even after my wife and I had overcome the initial heat, it was difficult to taste what we think was very well cooked food. Maybe they cater to local taste buds, but I wouldn't go back and so it is either Ruchi or Spices (Datchet) for the next outing!

Rosette attained for year 2014
I'm sure when they are on their game, the food and the atmosphere is top rate. As it should be with the quality of the name in the kitchen. Sadly, the front of house wasn't up to spec when my family and I visited earlier this month. Ignored at the podium, despite a reservation, no offer of water or drinks until we requested, never a check to see if the food was to our expectation, and a number of items on the menu not available. After the meal, there were a number of issues on the bill that the staff seemed to be ignorant to. It should not be a chore to give a business money. Trying to resolve the issue, onsite and online, few if any are willing to do anything other than provide lip service. Being an airport location, they may feel that they can get away with the "one and done" nature of most of their clientele. Outside the service, the food itself was very good and creative. I would love to try the other locations, but sadly with the service delivered on the first impression, I don't think I would if I had a choice.Dear Guestthank you for your feedback, albeit unusual. Our MTK team are fully conversed with the service, menu and billing within our restaurant and hence the feedback is not the norm we have received.Wishing you happy travels and if I can assist in future please feel free to reach [email protected] regardsAlex

Visited the other night, and expected great things. The restaurant is lovely, and the staff and service were brilliant...but thatâs where I stop as the food wasnât up to much. I had a Goan prawn dish, which as watery and pretty bland, except for something that had a sour taste. The manchurian cauliflower was interesting and probably the best thing on the table, but that also had a sour note ( perhaps that was meant to be there). My friend had a chicken tikka, which wasnât smooth and was too hot for her taste. I have eaten in Gurkha restaurants before, and have been to Southern India and enjoyed many a flavoursome meal...so I speak from experience. Needless to say, I wonât be returning. Shame as the place is so nice. Maybe chef was having a bad day? Who knows.Dear smiletravels,Thank you very much for taking the time to give us a review. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as we always aim to improve on our customer service and quality of food.First of all, thank you for letting us know that the waiting staff and the service didn't let you down but it is disappointing to hear that you did not have a good experience with regards to the taste of the Goan Prawns. When it comes to the taste of our curries, we do pride ourselves with having our Chefs prepare fresh ingredients in our sauces and mixes. The soury taste in the Goan prawns comes from the Organic Kokum, a native fruit from India that is sometimes used in curries. We do take all comments on board and I have specifically discussed the watery consistency of the curry with our Head Chef to make sure the quality and taste can be improved. Please do reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you will be willing to give us more feedback and give us another chance to turn your experience around into a positive one.Sincerely,Prem TamangGurkha Royale Restaurant
