We booked dinner at The Line one evening whilst staying at the Shangri La and I am so glad we did. Buffet dinners are not really my thing but The Line is no ordinary buffet. The options are endless with every possible cuisine, so I will highlight the food that stood out for us. The seafood station was amazing - the freshest of oysters, crab, prawns, sea snails, clams - just unbelievable. The Indian buffet was also impressive. I had fresh fish tikka out of the tandoor oven with hot naan bread just perfectly spiced and balanced. The pasta station was also good. And not to mention the dim sum bar, the noodle station, the sushi bar, the salad bar, the dessert bar and ice-cream station. And did I mention that it includes bottomless tiger beer and soft drinks.Dear madamSouthAfrica, Thank you for sharing your amazing review with us on TripAdvisor! Our last night at the Mandarin Oriental and we decided to stay in the hotel for a meal at the Melt Cafe and we were so glad we did. What a feast. Everything in Singapore is reasonably expensive and th is was no exception but I certainly think it was worth it. The array of food was excellent, especially the fresh shellfish. For the hot dishes, you are spoilt for choice. I opted for the Indian dishes and they were excellent. My only regret - there was no room left for dessert (and there were plenty to chose from. You can eat a la carte, but the buffet certainly gets my vote.Dear Mandarin Oriental GuestWe are pleased to know that we have earned ourselves a fan of our all-day dining restaurant, Melt Café, and that our friendly colleagues left a memorable impression on you. Your kind compliments on our gourmet excellence, which we are often known for, are also truly appreciated and will be shared with the team.We look forward to your continued patronage and support.Yours sincerelyEtienne Francois

Wow, Simply Amazing!Found this little beauty whilst looking for some tasty Indian food. Back home in the UK we are spoilt for choice, we like it on the spicy side (fresh chillis and herbs). Normally not too easy to find on our travels, until today. The owner greeted us when we arrived, and explained the menu. We must have looked a little lost so he asked our preference at home we said spicy and normally meat based. No worries he replied may I suggest (always a good start in my book). 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 side & 2 roots later, I was blown away with the flavours....This place is a must try!!!Dear friend, it was a pleasure serving you with our authentic dishes. We are pleased that you enjoyed our dishes and would like to thank you for the wonderful feedback. We are looking forward to serve you again.Thank You.

Read about the champagne afternoon tea set and we decided to come here for our anniversary celebration. The savoury selection was served in a stack of 5 Tiffin containers and featured local fusion creations inspired by Chinese, Indian and Malay food. The bearded dragon prawn was by far the tastiest treat. Free flow dessert bar and artisan tea, coupled with a flute of champagne make this a perfect go to place for a celebratory meal. The service crew is so sweet to us. Thanks Jega and crew!

Great falafel roll. Exactly what I was after - simple but delicious and reasonably priced. Had to try the tea after all the reviews. Was good too. I love sweet Arabic spiced teas but wasnât expecting the milk - normally black. But was still fantastic - different but yummy. Staff were friendly and polite and restaurant was very clean. Happy Aussies.
