Called here night before an early flight from East Midlands. Friendly staff, great service and super authentic food. Weâre from 100 miles away (Bradford) but would recommend and return without hesitation.

Nipped in here by chance, as we left a local pub. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was nice and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Ordered via just eat and had an expected delivery time given but the food turned up 20 minutes early with a very friendly delivery man.Good was tasty, hot and a couple of added bonuses thrown in.Excellent value for money and will be returning soon

Takeout not the same as dining in Ordered at six arrived at 7.30 same thing has happened twice before but what you receive is no different to most pre 60min Indian restaurants - food was like warm guy delivered was hoping to keep the £5 change after no apology or waiting 1.5 hrs from 6pm ! No more chances for us and tbh will look to put out dining out experience elsewhere too - sitting on last results and from experience comfort kills most businesses eventually . Thank you for your review and we would like to apologize for your experience. This will be brought up to the Owner's attention. Also, please do not let things like this to spoil the chance to really enjoy a meal out. we hope to see you again.

Friendly is my first thought about the team here, welcoming is my second. The food is really rather good and you can choose from a wide range of dishes, all of which retain their own character and flavours. The Tandoori Mix Grill is delicious! We have definitely become regular visitors and hope to continue as such; there are still unsampled dishes to try!! A lovely addition to our town and with a good customer base. Many of us wish continued success to the young team who have worked very hard to bring us a great little venue and some excellent dishes.

My husbandâs daughter and her family were visiting from the States in June. Brought them to this restaurant as the food is alwa1ys spectacular. Son-in-law has travelled all over the world and eaten Indian food many, many times. After his meal he said that this was the best indian he had ever eaten. What praise. The atmosphere is very cheerful. The decor is really clean and modern. The members of staff canât do enough for you and want only to make your visit memorable, they certainly do that. When, sadly, the time comes to leave you are made to feel like dear friends.Had a takeaway delivered to us recently. Perfect! Hot and so delicious. As good as in the restaurant.When can I go next please?

Visited Mount Gurkha tonight after enjoying a previous visit a few months ago. Tonight was a disgusting experience. Service on arrival was adequate, seated in good time, and drinks orders taken near immediately. However, the evening got exponentially worse. We were again asked by another member of staff whether weâd had our drinks order taken, illustrating poor communication between the waiting staff. After our drinks finally arrived we werenât acknowledged for at least another 10 minutes to take our order, despite the restaurant being moderately busy, and when our order was eventually taken it took nearly 20 minutes for our starters to arrive and a further 40 minutes for our mains! There were two sets of cutlery set out for each person to use. I used my first set for my starter, expecting to use my second for my mains, but found that our waitress had taken away my clean cutlery and left my dirty ones to use! I darenât wonder if that had gone straight onto another table, because when we received our plates for our main courses they were unclean and stained yellow. Furious as we were, we didnât want the hassle of complaining so we continued with our meal. Our mains were of an acceptable standard, but because of the poor experience weâd had up to this point it psychologically made everything taste worse and we couldnât bring ourselves to finish the meal. To wash away the taste I asked for a simple glass of tap water. Surely there could be no simpler task? Wrong. The water had a ruthlessly sour taste of curry to it, which I didnât believe to be possible, yet I found myself in distress over the beverage. One sip was enough. By this point the restaurant was almost empty, yet on asking for the bill we waited 10 minutes and saw no signs of it at all. So, we asked another waitress who then immediately brought us it with no questions. Appalling service! 2 hours of my time spent and wasted at Mount Gurkha. Never again.

I rarely give out a 5, but this place was truly spectacular in the categories that mattered: quality and flavor of food, and service! We had the mixed tandoori grill, and the waiter has some additional recommendations, all spot on! I would repeat!

This is hands down my favourite Indian restaurant in Shepshed. Food is delicious and the service is great too! Myself and my boyfriend ordered a takeaway at 22:15 on Friday night (for collection) and they prepared it for us within 20 minutes and gave us a call when it was ready. Cannot knock this place! ***** 5 stars!!

Visiting the Out Of India is always a pleasurable experience. The service is very good.......without rushing you.......and the food is excellent. Takeaway also available..........and you can also have food delivered to you. Great atmosphere, great customer service....... excellent food. What more do you need.........give it a go.........you won't be disappointed. Keep smiling
