This little restaurant is located just on the outskirts of the old town. Not much to look from the outside. You step through the take-away area and into the small but cosy little restaurant to the rear (seat only 20 people max). We order chicken pakora (besquets) which were excellent. Followed by Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo. The curry was served as a Thali (Thali is an Indian and Nepalese meal made up of a selection of various dishes), included on the silver plate was rice, lentils, salad, yoghurt, vegetables. A lovely mixture of different tastes and my husband and I both loved the curry sauces not to spicy but very tasty. An excellent meal. Don't be put off by the exterior if you enjoy Indian food you'll love this little place.
I chose this place based on other reviews of this platform. The very authentic food and the friendly and prompt service of the Sri Lankan owners is just outstanding. I had a curry with abundant shrimps, rice, homemade garlic naan, amongst other. Kingfisher beer was cold and also the homenade dessert was subherb and very colorful (mango puree, roses sauce and a flat cake with dried fruit prepared in a pan). Before leaving we had a nice chat at the bar... really a perfect experience! The only minus of this place is the presentation of the small dining room which is painted red, looks oldish and lacks of any decoration. Food for thought

We arrived in Bourges late at night in August and all of the restaurants in town were already closed. I saw the flashing lights on the Au P'tit Indien truck and told my lady it was our only option. She worried about getting sick the night before a wedding we'd be attending the next day. The Indien was about to close up but we asked if they would please serve us some food after we had trained all day from London. We were so hungry, and I was in desperate need of an alcoholic beverage. We ordered loads of food and some Indien wine and beers, everything was absolutely delicious. Lots of vegetarian options for my veggie companion. We ate and drank outdoors on a stairwell nearby and ended up having one of the loveliest and most memorable meals of our time in France.
