It is situated about 340 kilometres (211 mi) north of state capital Bhubaneswar and is surrounded by a range of hills and encircled by rivers. The city is also popularly known as Ispat Nagar and also as the Steel City of Odisha. It has one of the largest steel plants of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) known as Rourkela Steel Plant. It also has one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT Rourkela) of the country. The city has been selected as smart city in the third phase of smart city list on 20 September 2016. Among all the 27 city list Rourkela ranked 12th position on merit basis. Every year, on 3 March Rourkela Day is celebrated. Rourkela was declared India's Fastest Moving City (East Zone 2-10 Lakh).

Saffron is located at Panposh road near Mayfair . It's in grihasthi store building above the dairy. On ground floor it serves sweets and snacks etc. The resturent is at 2 nd floor. The hotel has nice sitting arrangement for the groups and families. The interior is good and ambience is fine. This restaurant offers veg food only and the veg thali options are quite popular here. The. Prices are pocket friendly and the services are good. This place also offers south indian food, breakfastand snacks too. The staff is well behaved and takes good care of the guests. The food quality is very good and I liked the taste of food served in thali which was like good homemade food. The overall experience was good and this restaurant is recommended for tasty vegitarian food . Good value for money proposition.

It is nice and neatly placed on the first floor of holding no-568-308 on Uditnagar Rd. in front of Bata show room. It has a play house for kids with all kind of computer game. It is ideal for Dosa lover and partying out with kids. There are two approaches one from Uditnagar and another from STI -RGH chowk .It is worth to try the long roll of DOSA with friends.They also provide free parking.

I had been to this place and was in love with there Oreo Cookie Shake. One fine day I walked into Grub On The Run with 3 of my friends and orders for 4 Oreo Cookie Shakes as the owner suggested us to try there new Chocolate Oreo Freakshake which was a huge glass and very well decorated we all 4 friends enjoyed the new shake and was also very much affordable. I recommend you my friends to have food from Grub On The Run

Food is usually good. Price is mid range or budget. You can try North Indian chaat, Pani Puri. Specialty is Cholle Bhature, Roll and Fish / Chicken chaap. Kebabs good too
