Things to do in Rochester
The Five Bells is a unique family and dog friendly local pub located in Halling village, looking on towards the river Medway and St John the Baptist church. Now offering great pub food and homemade, traditional Sunday roast due to extensive refurbishment
We regularly have takeaways from here and the occasional sit down. Food is fresh and the chef will adapt anything for you. I'm vegan and not a problem, my friend has a tomato allergy but this wasn't a problem either. Always welcoming and the chef always comes out to check you are happy with your meal. Would recommend.

Went here for lunch today and the manager suggested we try the new menu! We had chicken momos, chicken lollipops, masala chips, gobi parathas, chicken tikka, samosa chat and gobi parathas - everything was piping hot and flavoursome and we will definitely be going back there soon! Please the pics attached - go and treat yourself!

First visit here with friends who had eaten here before. Have to say possibly one of the best Indian meals we have had. Excellent food with an extensive menu. Food arrived freshly cooked and well presented. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Would visit again without hesitation.

Not sure why people are marking this restaurant down ?We went on a Saturday night and it was almost full but the service was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was as good as any Indian meal weâve ever had, especially for the price which was £60 for two, including poppadoms, starters and six drinks between us.The main aspect that made the food so good was the flavours rather than the spicy heat, which was also just right too.The chef seems to put lots of thought into their food preparation and the food didnât seemed just âchurned outâ like many other Indian restaurants. The internal decor was lovely and not what you would expect from New Road in Chatham !! A really nice surprise. We went following a recommendation from a client of ours and a few other people sat close by mentioned to waiters/waitresses that they too had been recommended. We will definitely go back and would happily recommend to others.A very good quality local Indian restaurant.

Good flavours, expected spicy levels, good quantity of food, warmed plates, attentive service without being over the top. Decent pint of cobra. Everything I could want from a decent "curry house"

We look forward to welcoming you to a delicious treat of the most authentic Indian food served in Kent. Our chefs have carefully put together our menu with some of the most popular traditional Indian dishes, both for a quick bite or for a full course meal
We wanted to find a true South Indian dining experience for some homesick relatives and this was a great tip from Hyderabadi friends. Sunday lunch offered Dosa , Idli and some genuine family favorites. The Dosas were great, Palak Ghosh was delicious and biryani too. Owners and staff were very friendly and lastly the price was fair. Will go again

The restaurant was extremely busy but service was attentive and the food was served without any significant delay. It was great to find that the lamb with okra dish had been prepared from scratch. So many places barbecue the lamb on skewers first and then add it to a sauce. All of the dishes tasted freshly prepared and the wine list was reasonably priced.

I have to say it was delivered fresh and hot . If Iâm honest the meal was disappointing, not least as the reviews are all very positive. Perhaps it was because it was lunchtime and a takeaway.I wouldnât say it was particular tasty and the aloo was, in my opinion in need of further cooking. There was not yellow mint dip or salad accompaniment with the onion bargiâs.The naan also could have done with a little more cookingThe mushroom rice had what appeared to be finely diced mushrooms and by that time had given up on the curry.

Just been to the buffet with my son, both impressed with the choice of food available. The chili chicken especially. Superb service from the two great lad's that run the place. We will be back. Alan and Craig.
