Had a takeaway from here and I have to say it was probably the best curry Iâve had. I live behind the Indian sizzler and new shapla but the spice lounge knocks the socks off them.

It's happened againOrdered a meal for collection - doublechecked before ordering that they were still offering the discount.On collecting food and paying, discovered that they had increased prices again, they had lowered discount for collection from 15% to 10% and again the bill did not add up. As I had checked cost whilst on the phone, I complained and was told that I could get £1.50 off next meal. Food - poor - frozen veg reheated eg cauliflowerSorry. Not this time. Will not be returning to collect my change (esp as you didn't honour the last promise either). Instead you get this review. Will now switch custom to another restaurant.

Haven't been here for a while thought l would take my friends to celebrate their birthdays. Started well had our starters then ordered our mains they arrived and my friend ordered chicken tandoori and asked if it came with salad the waiter replied yes my other friend ordered chicken when the food arrived one small salad came which my friend assumed was for her we then realised it was for them both to share when l asked for more cucumber and salad out came 5 pieces of cucumber on a plate and no salad. Didn't once say oh madam I will get more salad then l asked for water again no offer of would anyone else like water then brought over 5 glasses and then we.had to ask for another. The owner has and is very nice just think he needs to have a word with he's staff about customer service and how to look after people.

Ordered a meal from standard tandoori Saturday night from there website chef online food was pretty bland which is unusual as normally really good also the onion bargis were like tennis balls usually they are flat and crispy and have been for years I have a feeling the meal came from the green tandoori instead not sure how that can be but have been told in the past they are owned by the same people think I will go and collect next time

This visit was for three adults on a busy Friday evening. Parking was available at the front of the building. There was a large party in the rear area and we were found a quiet table at the front, and we were able to look into the kitchen.We found the whole experience excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was very tasty, not your usual, 'base sauce with extras thrown in'. We could watch it all being cooked fresh. My wife's king prawns were slightly undercooked, but this was quickly rectified with apologies (however, lost one 'star'). The chicken dishes were perfect, as were the vegetables.Good selection of drinks.We will certainly put this on the 'go again' list.Dear Richard, Thank you for your detailed review, we value your feedback :-) Apologies again for the undercooked prawns and we have noted this down to ensure it does not happen again. A few of us went to this restaurant last Sunday and went for their fixed price set lunch menu. We were given a warm welcome by the manager/ owner, and promptly served our drinks. There was plenty of choice on the menu, and we didnât have long to wait for our food to be served. It arrived well presented, nice and warm and absolutely delicious. Portions were of a good size too. We were well looked after and drinks were replenished as requested. We were even given a doggy bag to take home what we were unable to eat! This is the first time we have been to this restaurant, and I was extremely impressed. I should also add that is was very good value. We will certainly be returning, and I would certainly recommend.

We just dropped in here on our way home after a recommendation. Itâs basically an Indian restaurant in a pub. Food and service were excellent. If I lived local to here I would be a regular.
