Modern Indian Restaurant, In June 2016, the restaurant closed for refurbishment. This was part of a year-long project to update from being just a restaurant, to being a more complete dining experience. It was very important to us that we didnât lose âwhat
Not been here for a few years and visited tonight with my partner. We were seated straight away but not given any menus. We sat looking around, there were plenty of staff working but nobody paying attention to us. We got a waiters attention and asked for menus - he also took a drink order from us and was very apologetic about our wait. Drinks arrived quickly and our food order was soon taken. The waiter told us our popadoms and spicy onions would be free due to the mix up at the start of our visit which was a nice touch. We shared the popadoms & onions along with a veg pakora. All absolutely delicious and so fresh. We asked for a gap before getting our mains which wasn't a problem. Mains arrived. Portions were massive and again absolutely delicious! Honestly one of the best Indians we have visited. We couldn't finish our meal but thoroughly enjoyed what we managed. The time had flown by and our table was needed for the next booking. We moved upstairs to finish off our drinks. This restaurant may be slightly more expensive than others in the area but it's most definitely worth it.A visit here is a must!

just to add to the many 5 star reviews of Mother India, this is an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is quite amazing, not your normal menu, but surprisingly quite a small one, and cooked to perfection, with great flavours. It is a busy place though, and I would think regardless of the day of the week, booking would be necessary. We were there around 8 oclock on a wednesday and it was full all night. For some reason we havent been before but will certainly be back soon

My student daughter lives near this restaurant but said she had never visited it so we gave it a try during her graduation week and are so glad we did!Great, friendly and efficient service. No pretentions, no flock wallpaper, etc just good honest, tasty cooking. I had the chicken saag with pilau rice and it was fantastic.Others had veggie options, of which there are many and all agreed it was fantastic. Bottle of wine and a couple of soft drinks, some poppadums and a peshwari nan and the bill for four came to around £70 which is great value. Will definitely be back!

Open Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun (Closed Tue). Serving authentic North Indian cuisine using the highest quality ingredients in comfortable surroundings. Back under original management.
We visited for an evening meal with friends, being a Monday night the restaurant was quite quiet. The staff were friendly and most attentive. The food was excellent, one of the best we have ever had. All food was freshly prepared and full of flavour. If I lived in Glasgow it would definitely be one of our preferred restaurants. The only downside is that it is on the first floor, and quite a lot of steps.Five stars for food and service, excellent value for money, large portions

Had been a few years since weâd last eaten here so wanted to return due to the excellent TA reviews. The menu had changed and was much better. They do a table buffet at a good price but with limited simple curries so we decided to try curries off their extensive specials menu. Thereâs so many to choose from and many weâd not seen before. The kichori starters are lovely and the garlic nan is huge. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and left feeling very full and satisfied. Highly recommended!!!
