It is named after Christopher and Thomas Randall, two 18th-century tavern-keepers. At that time, Randallstown was a tollgate crossroads on the Liberty Turnpike, a major east–west thoroughfare. Today it is a suburb of Baltimore, with a population of 32,430 as of the 2010 census. In the 1990s, Randallstown transitioned to a majority African American community, and is currently notable for its broad ethnic diversity.

What do I like about Akbar? Okay I'll tell you. First of all, it's only 4 miles from home. Secondly I thoroughly enjoy the weekday lunch buffet (especially the tandoori chicken) and thirdly, chatting about anything with the owner, C.K....Just the other day I was there 20 minutes after finishing my meal talking, actually listening to him....he makes a point to visit every table and to answer questions if you have any...carry out available and also outside cateringThanks for your review it means a lot to us

Order several items everything was delicious. Will return. Order chicken korma, naan bread, keema samosa, tandoori. Took a while to get the order but it is expected since everything is cooked to order and it was worth the wait.

Vegetable pekora were crispy, fried just right and bursting with flavor . The garlic naan was coated with just the right amount of garlic and the butter chicken melts in your mouth, full of flavor and a very rich flavorful sauce. Best food I have ever tasted and am now recommending this place to all of my friends and family. A few have taken my word for it and have said the same . This restaurant is amazing , outstanding service and delicious amazing food all the way around ! You wonât be disappointed here no matter what you order.
