"Stone-age" underground Lounge, made in local river boulders and kashmiri decor with rustic setting and open fire place called Bhukari, serves wide range of coffee, flavored teas, kashmiri kehwa with small eateries and finger food from its live kitchen. W
Stone age lounge at Pahalgam hotel is a rustic underground lounge with loads of character and elegance. We were offered complimentary hi tea with yummy finger snacks. We loved the stone fire place and cane chairs with tables made of old Kashmir Windows. What makes this place stand out is its wrath and cozyness.
We booked a kashmiri meal at Pahalgam hotel's Pine Retreat sit down traditional kashmiri restaurant. The place is typical kashmiri with a live fire place called bhuraki and local memorabilia. 4 persons are served together but the twist here us that they serve in individual tramis or kashmiri plates. Kashmiri food and is the best you can have anywhere and in fact much better than what you get in Srinagar restaurants. We loved the whole set up, environment, views from the place, food and service. Do not miss out a meal here as you will remember it for a long long time.

It's a multi-cuisine, veg, self-service restaurant; probably the best and the nearest in Pahalgam. It remains very crowded almost always. Prices are reasonable. Taste and food quality is good. Quantity is more than enough. If you are four people, order for three!

Our newly refurbished restaurant in heart of Pahalgam has a history dating back to 1980s. It has been designed with a warm and contemporary feel. The most important aspect of our restaurant is the quality of food and service, and we are justifiably proud
In comperision to others restaurant such as Dana Pani, Nathu Rasoi etc, Volga restaurant is costly and not at par to others. If you reside near Volga, go Dana Pani and if reside in main market, go Nathus Rasoi.

Having had our fill of Kashmiri Wazwaan we decided to have a south Indian meal for a change and thought what better than to go to the reputed Sagar Ratna chain.Biggest mistake. The chutney applied on the Mysore dosa was stale. The dough used for Pooris was old and fermented and thick pooris rolled out.The Rasam was just diluted Sambhar along with Papad which smelt of some low quality oil.We were so disappointed that we did not eat any of the above.Aren't famous chains supposed to have standardisation in all its locations?Hotel authorities please take note.

Cafe Troutbeat on main road adjacent to Pahalgam hotel for impressive array of Rainbow/ Brown trout & veg combo meals. Authentic recipes with fresh river water trout from local river Lidder & variety of veg combo meals for the vegetarians.
Located at the outer gate of Pahalgam Hotel, this fish restaurant is the only place to taste fresh water Kashmiri Trout fish. We visited this place on 29th Oct'18 for a late lunch. The original restaurant room being under renovation, they are currently operating at the adjacent coffee shop. Nice simple wooden interior with wood fired heating pleased us as soon as we stepped in. This being the only licenced Trout fish serving serving restaurant, the menu mainly consists if trout dishes served in various style. My wife went for Deep Fried Trout served with potato finger chips and mustard sauce. I went for Grilled Trout served with sauteed vegetables and served with Russian salad. Fish was very fresh and well cooked. Extremely tasty and must try if you love fish. However the place is quiet expensive. Each serving with a barely seven inch sized fish costs Rs.648 plus tax. But a must try pkace for fish lovers.
