We ordered starters & mains and taste-wise I could not tell the difference, so disappointed. Chicken shashlick & chicken biryani. Iâve had both dishes may times, they are totally different, but at this restaurant they tasted exactly the same. I left the curry and went home & made toast.I was asked if I was enjoying my food, I said no but the waiter just looked at me bewildered

This traditional restaurant and pub located in Maisemore, Gloucester just over the bridge and on the A48 offers variety of traditional Nepalese meals which are made using fresh local products. The restaurant was taken over by an Ex-Ghurkha just over a yea
We were recommended to this curry restaurant by friends and went as a big group. The. Menu was extensive and we had a selection of different curries between us, I chose a chicken with mango dish which was a house special, this was very disappointing, seemed to be no spice in it at all very bland and almost a tomato sauce texture, the kormas looked very nice and there was a good amount of meat in the dishes. The biryani was very tasty. Itâs says the first puppadum is free but they were halved and worked out at only three quarters each only a minor thing but not as advertised. . The Peshawar naan was very good some some items were ok others were very mediocre . The prices are not cheap so it was a disappointing evening out. The staff were polite and helpful but sad to say itâs not somewhere I would go again.

I love the consistency of the food here, you can count on a dish you love being the same excellent flavours every time you order it and they certainly have some excellent dishes. It's always very friendly and good service at reasonable prices. Would definitely highly recommend.

The Crown is a 15th Century family run traditional village pub with newly refurbished letting rooms. We served freshly cooked foods that are locally sourced where possible and offer great value. We specalise in home cooked foods, not bought in microwaved
Stayed close by so very convenient - not quite as attractive looking pub from the outside as it appears on the website - restaurant itself quite small, but luckily we were the only people in there, the lady who served us was really friendly. There was plenty of choice on the menu - nicest naan bread Iâve ever had, fresh & not like supermarket stodge! Think we over-ordered a bit as had a bit of a shock when the bill came (including drinks). Only downside I would say was the constant waft of cigarette smoke, which was a shame.

Turned up to the restaurant and the waiter was stood in the door way chatting to his mate and took ages to move to let us in. (This should have been a warning) once inside he told to sit down and started hoovering the Floor around us. He was then on the phone to what sounded like a mate shouting about personal life, he took ages to get our drinks which was simply 2 glasses of coke out of a big bottle (we were the only ones there!) he then answered the phone and said he was the manager. If this is the case, then he should not be on the floor. The finally once our food came he stood over us talking to us whilst we were trying to eat. In the chicken dish the chicken was pink and stringy. Would not recommend to anyone and will not be returning.Dear Amy I,m really sorry to here you a unfortunate experience in restaurant I will investigate your complaint further .I don't know which night you visited the restaurant if you could give me more information please,I would like to offer my unreserved apology . We went to the restaurant with some customers, the popadoms were good, I then had samosas, they were huge, too big, but just consisted of potatoes and nothing else, no spice, and bland. I then had vegetable pathyia it consisted of over cooked potato, one strip of carrot and a piece of broccoli in a very sweet thick sauce, with again no spice, this should be a medium hot dish. We also had very over cooked and quite hard rice. Embarrassing for all as customer and supplier none of us wanted to complain. When we left the restaurant everybody commented how poor the food was, our customers said that the food was normally so good, and were quite shocked by what we were served. Possibly a change of chef, or just a really âoffâ night . Iâve had more spicy cottage pie in the past.
