It was exciting to find a 13⬠lunchtime curry buffet in the Montesson / Sartrouville region - but the end result was pretty average in all honesty. Service was superb, cleanliness too. What the place lacks is some more variety, a bit more freshness in the appearance in the food. It WAS good, just I've had a lot better for the same price. Here's hoping they improve :)I would take a few mates there for a curry, just I wouldn't promise too much.

We have visited this restaurant with our Indian colleagues and they appreciated the quality of Indian food. I don't recommend you to order Antillean food. Butter chicken was good, vegetarian meals to. Be careful it was too much to eat it all. Good atmosphere.Dear customer,I thank you for your comment. I take good note of your remarks.I hope to see you again soon in our restaurant.Looking forward,Didier

The most warm welcome from the staff and great service through our whole meal. Popadoms and very tasty pickles plus complimentary aperitif to start the meal. Starters very tasty (bhajis and seekh kebab) and nicely presented. Curries very tasty though we'd have liked them more spicy (ordered madras and vindaloo). The restaurant itself is very pleasant and nicely decorated. The restaurant does benefit from a car park underground BUT caution if you have a low spoiler on the front of your car. The angle of the ramp is such that our car spoiler got badly scraped driving in and out of the entrance. The rest of the experience was great.

Ordered a takeaway for two to be delivered at home, and it arrived on time. Samosas were quite good, spinach bhaji very good, but unfortunately the two curries were two of the worst we have tasted for a long time. The chicken vindaloo was sweet, as if sugar had been added, and in spite of instructions to make it hot, it tasted mild; the chicken madras was sweet, and lacking a proper spicy taste, and the chicken seemed to be full of red colouring; the nan bread lacked the normal fluffiness associated with this bread. We paid 43 euros, and it was a big disappointment. I come from a family who owned an Indian restaurant, and I have many friends who own them, and needless to say I have had thousands and thousands of Indian dishes, so .......

This restaurant relocated from Le Pecq (where it was called Benares). It s now off the beaten track in Montesson. The staff are friendly and attentive. The dining room is simply decorated. The food is well presented but in common with most Indian restaurants in France the food lacks spice and is expensive. We recently ate there as a family of 4 and it cost 100 euros for quite a modest meal and only one round of drinks. I have never seen the place more than half full which is probably due to the location and the pricing. The set menus at lunchtime are in the 15 euro range, excluding a drink. Whereas in the UK, dinner at the local Indian would be a regular event, it has to be a treat at the Omkara and it's not that special.
