Great Indian Cuisine, I am so thankful we found this quaint restaurant! Their food is delicious and the service was perfect. We ordered Ambrosia Non-Vegetarian Feast and Dahl which gives you a little taste of everything. Feeds two people easily even had some to take away. We found the prices to be very reasonable! Would recommend in a heartbeat and will return if ever in the area!

This is just a magnificent restaurant. The premises are small and simply furnished but the food is exquisite. We had Dahl Makhani (fairly spicy) Fish curry, garlic naan, murg mulligatawny and a yellow dahl. It was a good temperature, not overly hot (you are asked how hot you'd like it). Very tasty, prompt polite service, good food and so welcome after scads of standard fast food fare.Lovely staff, very welcoming attentive but not intrusive. We'd go back in a flash.

Monterey is known for itâs seafood restaurants and Iâve tried many of them with different levels of satisfaction. Still, once in a while one is looking for something different. I love Indian food and seldom get it as my husband hates Indian food. I was surprised to see Ambrosia right there on Cannery Row and filed it in my head as I also saw they have a lunch buffet. Today, after a morning of whale watching, I made my way down to Cannery Row, found Ambrosia and went in. Since I was traveling solo this trip, I decided it was just the ticket. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and the staff extremely accommodating. The buffet selection, although not extensive, is varied. I cannot name all the dishes, I just eat them. I know that a vegetarian would certainly find numerous items. There is a fish curry that was very good is you truly havenât had your fill of seafood. I tried a little of everything and enjoyed most everything. Nan bread is brought to the table. Rice pudding is for dessert, very creamy and sweet. If youâre on Cannery Row and looking for something different for lunch, give Ambrosia a try.
