Not your usual Indian menu. Itâs short and has many dishes you wonât have heard of. None of the long list of various curry styles with meat, chicken or prawn.I had a hot fish starter. Fish fried in batter with a hot sauce. Lovely. Poppadoms with various relishes, a peshwari Naan, and we shared a lamb and a prawn dish. Delicate flavours with coconut cream for the prawn, faultless, and more robust curry with rich tomato sauce for the lamb.Best Indian meal for a long time. Thank you for your response.We have a lot of dishes and always happy to substitute to your request. We're happy to add meat or fish. Visited Shalimar Gold for the first time & had a wonderful dining experience with my family. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff greeted us with a warm welcome, the food, atmosphere and service was amazing. I would like to mention the attentiveness of Imran who really made an impact on us. The table staff were all wonderful but Imran was so professional and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Very modern and chic looking Indian restaurant. Staff attentive and helped us with choosing our meals. Food was of a very high standard, most enjoyable. One issue, considering only a few tables were taken it took a long time to eventually receive our main meals. Will give it another try though.

Took our son for a family meal for his 21st birthday. Staff were excellent, extremely attentive and happily catered for for all our requests about table and presentation. The food was excellent and presented to a very high standard, we couldn't have asked for more and the price was very reasonable.

Great foodGreat staffShame the tablemats are all scratched and chipped- doesnât really look good and please replace the table runners too - stained and drab looking.Would suggest lighter colours to brighten the whole look of the tables.Otherwise a very welcoming place to dine.
