Dropped in midweek with some friends and tried the the set menus, a reasonable selection at a vert modest price, everything was well prepared and cooked, it all arrived in good time and the staff were very attentive, we all enjoyed our meals and would definitely go again
Based in the Old Kent Market, we had sensational Malaysian street food, delicious exquisite flavours, served by the charming Miguel..... Superb funky ambience... Highly recommend

A brand new restaurant in Margate, offering the True Taste of Authentic Indian Cuisine. Quality food at reasonable prices. Masala Gate offers the True Taste of Authentic Indian Cuisine in the Old Town of Margate. Unlike many other restaurants we offer the
We came across this small restaurant, tucked away just down a sidestreet near the seafront. We like indian food and had been looking around for somewhere to eat in Margate. Got seated and served quickly. Staff were friendly and although very busy taking take away orders we were not kept waiting. Just a small family group in there besides ourselves, so a quiet atmosphere. Food was good and we enjoyed it. Given a complimentary Baileys at end of meal. Reasonable prices and menu selection.

Incredibly rude manager: arrived to an empty restaurant (bar two tables) and requested a table for two. Obnoxious and abrasive manager offered us a table with chairs not facing one another. When we asked politely if we could move the chairs he declined and was equally rude when we asked if we could sit at a table for four, claiming that he had people coming (7:30 on a Monday night, town is deserted). Never have I encountered such rude service; he then told us he had no table to offer us! Promptly left. Take your business elsewhere! 0 stars.

Flavours has one drawback - itâs setting. It sits in a rather unimpressive row of shops about a mile out of town on the road to Canterbury. The restaurant itself, largely unchanged since Kumar moved in, is a little disappointingly dowdy - like so many âIndianâ establishments. But the FOOD is outstanding! Tasty, subtly flavoured, beautifully presented. Over the last two years I have eaten every single item on the menu and have always been delighted. Furthermore, the service is impeccable.Would Flavours benefit from being resited in Margateâs Old Town, or would Margateâs new-found popularity benefit from spreading to the outlying areas? I donât know. But this restaurant should not be missed.

Went to this beautiful restaurant 2/11/19, with, family for partners birthday celebration. Extremely impressed with the welcoming staff, the vibrant surroundings and lovely atmosphere. The food was superb and presentation great. The waiter was attentive, warm and friendly. He picked up on a birthday in our group, and without warning, the lights dimmed, music played, and my partner was presented with a beautiful slice of cake with candle. So thoughtful and completed a great night. Many thanks to you all. Will definatley be returning at earliest opportunity.
