Culinary King cook north and south Indian food with exotic ingredients and tongue tingling flavors. This restaurant uses the whole palette of flavors - spices , sour, sweet and hot all at the same time makes it something that wants to jump of the plate. Th
We came here last Sunday night after reading some Trip Advisvor reviews. There were no customers inside and it is a very plain looking restaurant but we went in anyway. We were very happy that we did. The food was excellent and the Butter Chicken much better than most in Melbourne. The staff were very helpful and i would have no problem in recommending this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice meal at reasonable prices. My partner is Coeliac and they had no problem in catering for Gluten Free.

A vibrant eating place located very close to Hobart City Centre. We offer warm, nourishing soups, a range of traditional and contemporary Indian food, and some of the best hot and cold drinks in town. The soup menu is truly impressive. All are hearty soup
Stumbled on this gem when surfing the net for vegetarian dining in Hobart. They serve VEGETARIAN food only.Very pleasantly greeted by owner Mr.Satindar & his staff. The soups are so wholesome & hearty. They are not kidding about the name SOUP STOP! But it is more than that. My husband randomly ordered Idli/ Sambhar & Makai ki roti/Sarson Ka saag. Not prepared by a bevy of chefs but by his cheerful wife,Mrs.Harcharan.Health conscious home cooked food unlike the commercial Indian food marketed in most restaurants.Delicious & not heavy at all. Truly unique.Left with a spring in our step. Our best wishes for them to Succeed!

My wife and I have dined at Annapurna Indian Restaurant Salamanca twice in the last couple of weeks and on both times the service and freshly cooked food has been amazing!!!The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is well furnished and designed. On both occasions we had the same shared entrees of Vegetable Samosas and Seekh Kebab - both times both were freshly cooked, great quality and amazing spicy taste.Main course the first time was Balti Chicken with a Cheese and Garlic Naan Bread - again great flavours and freshly cooked!!!The main course the second visit was Vegetarian Aloo Palak with a Cheese and Mushroom Naan Bread. Again PERFECT!!!From our two visits the restaurant has been very consistent in both service and food quality.Well done Annapurna Indian Restaurant Salamanca, keep up your HIGH standard!!!

Cinnamon Indian Gourmet is the Hobart's first high end dining Restaurant. It serves high quality and freshly made Indian food. All of the food is prepared in house by the well trained chefs.
I went here with 3 of my adult children for dinner. On first entering the restaurant I thought the decor was smooth and trendy but not Indian. Where are the typical murals or decorations and the Indian music? Hmmm,However the service was friendly and welcoming. A few dropsies during the night but they generated a chuckle. My daughters are vegetarians so they ordered dahl markani and kadai paneer. My omnivore son and I ordered lamb rogan josh and chicken tikka masala. All curries were excellent and fine specimens of the cuisine. We went skinny on rice and instead ordered garlic and mixed naan with mango pickles and raita. The naan was as expected and the pickles were sensational.Reasonably priced, fine food, good service and comfortable setting. Hard to go wrong.PS Sorry about the title. Do you remember Kamahl doing ads for Indian style food?

Magic Curries being not very authentic name was given to our place so that people could remember it easily. Ours is a North Indian (Punjabi) restaurant, run by family since 2001.We recommend our patrons to tell their taste while ordering. This will help &
We were very taken by the mystique and beauty of Battery Point by day so we definitely wanted to return to try the Indian Restaurant by night for dinner. The restaurant is housed in what seems to be an old house in its original format. The food was delicious - we ordered our standard fare of beef vindaloo, chickpea curry, chicken biryiani and naan bread . Generous serves, great hospitality by the owner and the mystique of Battery Point was only further enhance by night .Highly recommended

A 20 years old traditional Indian restaurant located in Hobart City.
Arrived as a walk in on a Thursday night. Was pretty quiet as we were early. Ordered main Beef Masala with complimentary rice , Garlic nann and an entre of chicken tikka and shared. We ended up taking some home. Generous portions, very nice food and good service. Wine list was small but good choices available. Food and a couple of wines were $60 so pretty cheap. Premises are a wee bit daggy but great value for money overall.

The Saffron is located at the gateway to Hobart â in the historic and picturesque wharf area, across from the Grand Chancellor Hotel. We take great pride in their elegant dining establishment and strive to provide a distinguished dining experience to patr
Overall a great experience the food is northern Indian style so thick or dry curry is the deal which is good for me personally. We enjoyed our meals which were served promptly. Wines were nice and reasonably priced. Service was a tad stern not very welcoming being honest. I would go again if in town.

Our chef's picked the most authentic spices and masalas from the land of India which makes us different from others you can try yourself and feel the difference , we ensure you were loving it.
We were looking for somewhere to eat nearby and stumbled across this place, one of the only restaurants open on Easter Monday. We were so hungry and happy to eat anything but the food here far exceed our expectations. Truly delicious and authentic Indian food, fresh, delicious and spicy! Highly recommend visiting this one, even if you aren't around the corner! We recommend the Kashmiri Lamb Rogan Josh but everything we ate was so delicious. We'll definitely be back before we leave Hobart.
